New
Van Halen CD Unlikely |
Blabbermouth reports: Norway's Metal Express
recently conducted an interview with Sammy Hagar. On the possibility of
a new VAN HALEN album:
"We tried to do an album. We only got three
songs done. It took four months to do three songs. So I was saying, 'Let's
go out and play for the people before this whole thing ends.' 'Cause if
you remember right, they tried to do an album with Gary Cherone the second
record and that didn't finish. Then they tried to do a record with Dave
[Lee Roth] three times, and they never got it done. So I was seeing that
coming. As a person who wanted to go out and play for the people, I said,
'Let's stop recording, and let's go out on the road while we still can.'
And I think it was a smart move. [see full story to find out how badly

Warped
Scams |
Digital Noise reports: BEWARE OF FAKE WARPED
TOUR TICKETS! ...Unfortunately, there are some people out there who will
try to scam you and take your money at the shows. Please -- DO NOT BUY
ANYTHING in the parking lot or outside of the venue.
Anyone who is trying to sell you a laminated
pass, a wrist band pass, or a ticket is most likely scamming you. We have
been seeing all kinds of fakes being sold at the shows and THEY WILL NOT
WORK. Security will take them from you and you'll have lost some hard earned
cash. That's not very cool and is definitely not a fun way to start off
your day. [see full story for more]- Click

Tommy
Lee Vs Croatian Guards |
Blabbermouth reports: MÖTLEY CRÜE
drummer Tommy Lee was threatened by armed guards in Croatia last week after
the owner of a local club determined that Tommy's DJing/percussion performance
at the club fell short of expectations.
Launching a new tennis centre in Croatia
last week, Subliminal Records head honcho Erick Morillo was DJing with
Lee on percussion at a party attended by tennis great John McEnroe and
the rich and famous locals. According to a local spokesman, the owner of
the club didn't appreciate Tommy's performance: "The owner didn't think
Tommy played long enough, and just wasn't into it," the spokesman said.
"Suddenly, on their way to the after-party, Tommy was surrounded by Croatian
armed heavies, and Erick, sizing up the situation, urged pal Tommy to leave
with him immediately on his private chartered plane." [see full story for
