Live 8 Racism?
BBC reports: A campaign group has called the Live 8 London concert "hideously white" for not having enough black performers.

Superstar Mariah Carey is almost the only ethnic minority performer at Hyde Park on 2 July, one of five global Live 8 concerts that day.

London-based group Black Information Link said organisers had "handpicked a virtually all-white line-up". [wanna trade for the US lineup? - see the full story for the bigger picture and the organizer's response.] - Click Here for the Full Story

Oasis Vs U2
Ananova reports: Liam Gallagher says U2 should lighten up a bit.

The Oasis frontman couldn't believe a story he'd heard about the Irish group watching a video of their live show after they had come off stage and analysising it.

He told Sydney's Daily Telegraph, "W***ers. Haven't they got f**k all better to do? I'd rather be out there getting pi**ed.

"I certainly wouldn't go back after a gig and analyse it. No wonder they're the biggest band in the world: 'Oh Edge, the fourth guitar solo wasn't right tonight'. 'Oh, sorry Bono'. [It was a slow news day, but not slow enough to report how Britney finds sex now, you'll have to visit Ananova to read. For now see full story for more on this story]- Click Here for the Full Story

DA Slams Jacko
Reuters reports: Michael Jackson is a scheming serial pedophile with a drinking problem who should finally be held responsible for sexually abusing young boys, a prosecutor said on Thursday, in a searing attack on the pop star during closing arguments in his molestation trial.

But Jackson's chief attorney called the charges a mean-spirited bid to "dehumanize" one of the world's best-loved entertainers and labeled the accusers "con artists, actors and liars."

The blistering closing remarks capped a bitter, four-month court fight over accusations that Jackson molested a 13-year-old boy at his Neverland Valley Ranch in 2003. [see full story for more]- Click Here for the Full Story

Def Leppard Blast eBayers
BW&BK reports: DEF LEPPARD singer Joe Elliott has posted the following “Diary” entry at the band’s website (www.defleppard.com): "Just a quick one this time. I need to warn you all, that there's a lot of stuff on eBay at the moment that is completely fake! Take here item for example. NOT ONE OF THOSE AUTOGRAPHS IS REAL. Completely fake -- and the company, Reels Autographs are asking almost $50.00 for it.

Please don't fall for this. This whole eBay thing is getting out of hand, to the point where we are having to tell a lot of autograph hunters to F**K OFF! They stand outside airports and hotels with guitars, scratch plates, magazines, and surprisingly not many CDs. It's pretty obvious they're selling the stuff, as they more often than not ask for us not to dedicate them -- and when they do (in the case of the guitars or scratch plates for instance), they use nail polish remover to wipe it off.
