The Gauntlet reports: For the most part, Slayer
- Tom Araya/bass, vocals, Kerry King/guitars, Jeff Hanneman/guitars, and
Dave Lombardo/drums - have finished recording tracks for their as yet untitled
new album due out this fall, and will begin the mixing process this week.
This album is the first new studio album since 1990's "Seasons In The Abyss"
that features the entire original Slayer lineup (drummer Lombardo left
the band in 1992 and rejoined in 2003).[see full story for more]-

Best known as lead guitarist, co-composer
and co-founder of symphonic film-score metal flag bearers Rhapsody, Luca
Turilli is an experienced and accomplished musician. With his third solo
album entitled The Infinite Wonders of Creation, Turilli ends his epic
trilogy. The trilogy began in the 1999 with King of the Nordic Twilight,
followed by Prophet of the Last Eclipse, both of which commanded impressive
chart positions in Germany, as well as other countries around the world.

antiMusic reports: Angie Aparo has announced
the release of the 1st CD of his forth coming trilogy which will unfold
over the next twelve months. The 1st of the trilogy entitled "El Primero
Del Tres" will be released on May 2nd but fans that attend a couple of
Angie's upcoming shows will be able to purchase the CD early.

Aparo will be making a swing through the

will release the first-ever live collection from multi-platinum, Grammy-award
winners KoRn, titled KoRn: Live & Rare. KoRn: Live & Rare delivers
thirteen songs including ten previously unreleased tracks from standout
gigs like their infamous CBGB's performance in New York City and their
landmark 1999 Woodstock performance. Other highlights include their own
version of Metallica’s “One,” rare b-sides and more. Korn: Live & Rare

Conqueroo reports: With last year’s self-titled
debut album, the Hacienda Brothers — the band led by singers/songwriters
Chris Gaffney and Dave Gonzalez — won accolades for melding stone country
and old-school R&B, a mix that has been described as “Western soul.”
The soul derived not only from Gonzalez’s and Gaffney’s deep R&B influences,
but also from the enlistment of legendary writer/producer Dan Penn. A honky-tonk
influence, along with the recording of the album in the mountains and deserts
of Tucson, provided the Western feel.
The band and Penn began to find their collective
voice with last year’s debut, which charted Top Ten on the R&R Americana
Airplay chart. The new album, titled What’s Wrong With Right — also helmed
by Penn — kicks the collaboration into an even higher gear. The album,
the Haciendas’ first for Proper American Recordings, is slated for June
