punkbands reports: The kid who sang that Silverstein song on American Idol is apparently doing interviews (don't worry, not with us). He's not doing anything for his credibility either. Asked by aversion.com why he chose Silverstein and not something heavier like the Cro-Mags, Ryan Hart had this to say: "I'm not really into straight up hardcore music. I love screamo, and Silverstein [is] one of my favorite if not my favorite band. Black & White PR reports: International rock superstars The Hellacopters – whose acclaimed new album, Rock & Roll Is Dead, is now available – will soon return to America for their first U.S. tour in four years. The three-week jaunt, which features Liquor and Poker Music labelmates Nebula on all dates and New Zealand’s The Datsuns on a select few, kicks off in Chicago on March 6. It also includes a performance alongside fellow Scandinavian rockers Turbonegro at South By Southwest, an annual music industry event held each spring in Austin, Texas. PFA reports: Five years ago at the age of 35 hip-hop pioneer and co-founder of the multi-platinum legendary group Run-D.M.C, Darryl “DMC” McDaniels made a startling discovery: he was adopted. Suddenly everything he thought he knew about himself changed.

This revelation occurred after the death of Jam Master Jay and while DMC was going through a deep depression. He began to question his purpose and place in life. Fagen Sets Release

Noble PR reports: Steely Dan's 'Donald Fagen' is to release his long-awaited and highly anticipated third solo album 'Morph The Cat'. The album is released by Reprise Records across the UK and Europe on March 13th (North American release is Tuesday 7th March). 'Morph The Cat' is Fagen's first solo album since 1993's 'Kamakiriad', and the final installment in a musical trilogy that originally began with the release of 1982's 'The Nightfly'.
