When did he start playing an instrument? Singing karaoke makes you a musician now? Have standards really dropped that far? I'm not bagging on this guy, he's a good singer and Michael McDonald isn't doing much these days so Hicks can steal his style and audience but come on, don't elevate someone with a pretty voice that's doesn't even write their own music to the level of those skilled enough to play an instrument and even more importantly compose music. There is a place for both but don't confuse the two. One makes their own way and the others way is made for them.
