Song: Graham Coxon - "Standing On My Own"

Artist: Melvins

Reviews: Bob Marley DVD | 2&2 Q&A: Mower | Dissonance | Total Devastation

.
2&2 Q&A: Mower
antiMusic reports: For this special edition of 2&2 we follow up with Mower as they start out on a new tour with Rickets today supporting their album 'Not For You' which hit stores earlier this year. Check out the new questions below and then click over on the full story link for a full length interview Morley conducted with Brian a couple months back.

2&2: You guys are about to hit the road for a headlining run, what can fans expect from the shows aside from an insane pit? ** Mower: Mower was supposed to be on tour since July and I think the band has way too much energy built up. We're ready to go off. We've been talking to the guys in Rikets and both bands are aggressive and creating many styles of music and have moved beyond caring about what is going on in the music industry. This is an underground tour we've set up with two brutal live bands and the people that care enough to come out each night are going to witness great shows they will be talking about for a long time. They can say they were there.

2&2: Anyone who has ever driving So Cal can relate to the "Road Rage" video but is that based on a true story? ** Mower: I wish it about one true story. Road Rage is about countless experiences with careless, inconsiderate drivers on the roads all over this cellphone obsessed country. It is the musical version of flipping someone the finger in their rearview mirror. [check out the full length MorleyView with Mower at the full story link] - Click Here for the Full Story

A source close to the singer tells American publication People, "When she landed in London, there was a lot of pushing and shoving. She was jostled around. She got hit in the paparazzi's commotion." Madonna's one-year-old son DAVID, whom she is in the process of adopting from Malawi, was not hurt in the scuffle.

Laws Suck for Rock Shows
blabbermouth.net reports: Former SKID ROW frontman Sebastian Bach, who is currently touring North America as the opening act for GUNS N' ROSES, has commented on the cancellation of GN'R's Nov. 6 concert in Portland, Maine. In a live interview with the Hartford, Connecticut radio station WCCC, Bach stated, "Basically what happened is that GUNS N' ROSES has a huge pyro show - anybody that's seen the concert knows that to be the case. And when the fire marshall showed up, they were not into it - they were like, 'This is too much.' Also, they have these laws up there in Maine now where they literally told GUNS N' ROSES and PAPA ROACH and us, they said any fans caught in the building smoking a cigarette will be immediately arrested, any bandmember on stage with a beer in his hand will be escorted out of the venue and taken into jail. And it's like,' Dude, it's a rock concert. It's a ROCK show.' Basically, it felt like they didn't want the thing to go down. And I read on Blabbermouth where it said 3,000 tickets were sold for the show, which was a 5,500 seater. And I'm like, dude, it's Portland, Maine. After 15 years, the guy's [Axl] never played there - that's not unexpected….[see full story for more]- Click Here for the Full Story

Jacko Cornell
TuneLab reports: Chris Cornell will be covering Michael Jackson's "Billy Jean" on his upcoming new solo album, which he is putting the final touches on now. Cornell told mtv.com:

"I didn't plan on it," he said. "It just sort of happened organically. I changed the music quite a bit, I didn't touch the lyrics. And it's not a joke."[see full story for more music news]- Click Here for the Full Story

Descendents In The Toilet
punkbands.com reports: Ever had a dream of taking a crap on your favourite band - not?? Now you can, the Descendents are actually selling a toilet seat. This is not usual merchandise for a band - you see, with records like Enjoy, and ALL's Trailblazer, it was inevitable that they would at least try this to see how it turned out. It turned out pretty well, actually.

This toilet seat has never been used (thankfully) so we can't really know if it'll stand up to the kind of abuse that the Descendents are legendary for, but it seems pretty sturdy. Well, you know, as far as toilet seats go, anyway. [see full story for more]- Click Here for the Full Story

Leatherwolf Lose Voice
sleazeroxx.com reports: Vocalist Wade Black has issued the following update: ….Like many other musicians in our genre, I have a career outside of music that is necessary in order to provide a reasonable lifestyle for my family. If I have to miss work to fly out to do recording sessions, rehearsals, or tours, I don't get paid.

While I have enjoyed giving a new voice to LEATHERWOLF and supporting the new album, the harsh economic reality of my current musical situation is that the compensation for the studio and live work I've done hasn't even offsetted the lost wages I've missed while supporting LEATHERWOLF in the studio and on the road. More important than the financial aspects is the time away from my family. My wife and children have been very patient and supportive of me, and they deserve to be the highest priority in my life. You only have one chance in life to be the best parent you can be. There are no studio tricks or retakes to gloss over the missed opportunities to be there for your family. I am therefore letting you all know that effective immediately, I will no longer be singing for LEATHERWOLF.[see full story for more]- Click Here for the Full Story
