Linkin Park Stalker
blabbermouth.net reports: Sandia National Laboratories has fired an employee accused of using a computer owned by the labs to hack into phone and computer accounts owned by Chester Bennington, the lead singer of the band LINKIN PARK, a labs spokesman said.

Devon Lynn Townsend, who worked in Sandia's Technology and Manufacturing Group, has been charged with fraud and related activity, according to filings in U.S. District Court in Albuquerque.

In October, an agent from the Department of Defense Office of the Inspector General uncovered evidence that Townsend had hacked into cell phone and computer accounts owned by Bennington and his wife, Talinda Bennington, according to a criminal complaint filed Monday. The U.S. Secret Service had received a complaint from the Benningtons that "an unknown person, without authorization, had somehow accessed their Verizon Wireless telephone account," according to the complaint. [there is more, see the full story for all the details… the suspect hass no relation to Devin Townsend of Strapping Young Lad, but it might be fun if he renamed the group Stalking Young Lads..] [see full story for more]- Click Here for the Full Story

Fiddy Vs Bond
pr-inside reports: 50 CENT is accusing Hollywood of double standards after seeing the new JAMES BOND holding a gun in posters for CASINO ROYALE - a year after billboards of him sporting a weapon caused a furore. The rapper - real name CURTIS JACKSON - is appalled by the fact no one has raised a fuss about DANIEL CRAIG's gun-toting posters when he was castigated for posing with a weapon in billboards for movie GET RICH OR DIE TRYIN'.

He says, "Get Rich Or Die Tryin' comes out and they want to protest because they see a gun in my hand but James Bond comes out or MR & MRS SMITH will come out with guns and it's acceptable. You can see any kind of gun there is to see on the covers of films. You can go in Blockbuster and see every gun that was ever made." The rap star calls for one universal ruling about weapons in movie posters and he'll accept whatever the Hollywood film police decide.[see full story for more]- Click Here for the Full Story

Jet Slam Madonna
Gigwise reports: Jet have launched an outspoken attack on pop queen Madonna - accusing her of only getting famous by "masturbating".

The Australian retro-rockers are clearly no fans of the veteran singer or her extensive back catalogue of pop gems - whose recent adoption of a Malawian child has created worldwide headlines - and aren't afraid to say so. Drummer Chris Cester rallies, "Can everyone just shut the f**k [up] about Madonna? Like A Virgin? Please! How the hell did she become so f**king famous? What for, masturbating? Everyone does that love!"[see full story for more]- Click Here for the Full Story

Akon's "Konvicted" sold 284,000, enough to earn him the No. 2 slot.[see full story for more]- Click Here for the Full Story

Cocaine Kitaen
Reuters reports: Actress Tawny Kitaen, best known for starring in a series of 1980s heavy metal videos, has been charged with possessing 15 grams of cocaine, prosecutors said.

Kitaen, 45, could face up to three years in prison if she is convicted on the single count of possessing a controlled substance, Orange County District Attorney's spokeswoman Susan Schroeder said on Tuesday.

Schroeder said police were summoned in May to the home Kitaen shares with her two children in San Juan Capistrano, California, and discovered 15 grams of cocaine in a restroom and bathroom. Metalcore RIP?
blabbermouth.net reports: IdahoStatesman.com recently conducted an interview with KILLSWITCH ENGAGE vocalist Howard Jones.

On his opinion that metalcore music, which has enjoyed widespread success over the past few years, is on the way out:

"The dream's over dude! .... It'll still be around, because kids love heavy music; they love to be aggressive. But it won't get as much mainstream attention as it's been getting. So mark my words there. It's already happening."[see full story for more]- Click Here for the Full Story

GNR Drop Eagles of Death Metal?
blabbermouth.net reports: EAGLES OF DEATH METAL appear to have been removed from the GUNS N' ROSES tour after only one show due to an overwhelmingly poor reception the band got from the GN'R audience during EAGLES' tour opener. According to several fans who attended last night's (Nov. 24) GUNS N' ROSES concert at Quicken Loans Arena in Cleveland, Ohio (also featuring SEBASTIAN BACH and SUICIDE GIRLS), people were booing throughout EAGLES' hour-long set, with some of the GN'R fans calling the group's performance "horrid at best" and describing the band's music as "pretty fucking lame," with a repertoire of songs that sound "almost the same." GUNS N' ROSES frontman Axl Rose apparently agreed with his fans, because a few songs into GNR's set he reportedly said something to the effect of, "So how'd you like THE PIGEONS OF SHIT METAL? Don't worry, that's the last show they're playing with us."[see full story for more]- Click Here for the Full Story

Tuck Can't Sing
DiR reports: You can hear the 14-year-old wannabe metal girls crying across the nation with their raccoon mascara creating an environmental hazard in front of Hot Topic stores as news that their favorite emo-mall-metal group has pulled the plug on their touring plans. That's right the 21st century answer to Warrant (Bullet For My Valentine) have been forced to postpone the rest of their UK tour and cancel their upcoming U.S. tour. Why you ask? Because lead singer Matt Tuck can't sing; yes, you already knew that but this time a doctor says it's so. Hopefully for the band he'll recover before their 15 minutes are over. see the full story for a statement from Tuck.
