Born From Pain Lose Singer
Lambgoat reports: Vocalist Che Snelting has officially left Dutch metalcore band Born From Pain after ten years with the group. Snelting has released the following statement:

"In the summer of '97 I bought a ticket for a rollercoaster ride called Born From Pain, and got more than I bargained for. Ever since the very first beginning I played so many shows, met even more great people and learned a lot about the world, music and especially me as a person. During the last year and a half however, I started struggling with my priorities and found out I wasn't into the band that much anymore as I was in our early career. This resulted in one of the hardest decisions I ever had to make in my life; me quitting Born From Pain. I found myself not being able to put energy into the band outside of the live shows, and later it became even harder and harder for me to get into the tour van to go to shows. I felt like I was lightly burnt out by a lot of things and especially Born From Pain. This led to me estranging from the band, to a certain extent, and I started thinking about a life without Born From Pain. The more I thought about it, the more I started to like the idea about having a regular life, a normal career and different hobbies without Born From Pain 'dictating' my life.[see full story for more]- Click Here for the Full Story

Point One Bring the Rock This Year
PR reports: The heavy alt rock scene is alive and kicking in the Northwest and Seattle's own POINT ONE are leading the charge. Groove oriented, Unapologetic, pile driving hard rock that takes you back to the day when bands really knew how to rock. Their first single "Monochrome Mistress" (getting lots of play on college and metal radio) summons early Motley and GnR, but it doesn't stop there. POINT ONE has a sound all their own. Anyone who has seen this band live can attest to that catharsis, onstage or in the pit.

See it for yourself as POINT ONE hit the road with VAST, and be on the look out for their highly anticipated full length release Unlucky Stars (Wenzl Hopper/Adrenaline), in-stores on May 22nd.[see full story for dates]- Click Here for the Full Story

Stardawn isn't the most groundbreaking album out there, but you've got to respect a band with this kind of longevity who stays true to their roots. This is surely another hit in the books for LMP.- Read the full Domain - Stardawn review
