Saw IV Soundtrack

PR reports: "When we were choosing songs for the 'Saw IV' soundtrack, we asked ourselves, 'What kind of music would the 'Saw' characters Jigsaw and Amanda listen to?'" reveals Jonathan Scott Miller, principal of Artists' Addiction Records, which will issue Saw IV Original Soundtrack on CD and as a digital release October 23, 2007- an extended digital release will follow in November. Miller served as soundtrack producer alongside Artists' Addiction principals Jonathan Platt and Jonathan McHugh ("Saw IV" producers Oren Koules and Mark Burg are executive soundtrack producers). 

The answer to this pivotal question, as any fan of the hit "Saw" film series would guess, are the dangerous, dramatic strains of hard rock, metal and industrial music. These sounds are represented on Saw IV Original Soundtrack by giants of those genres � Nitzer Ebb, who unveil highly anticipated new material with the hard-hitting "Payroll (JohnO Mix)," Ministry ("Life Is Good"), Skinny Puppy ("Spasmolytic [Deftones Remix (Habitual Mix)])," "Saw" composer/Nine Inch Nails alum Charlie Clouser ("Just Begun") and Sixx: A.M., fronted by Mötley Crüe bassist/songwriter Nikki Sixx ("Tomorrow") � as well as established bands who've been influenced by them, including Drowning Pool ("Shame") and Avenged Sevenfold ("Eternal Rest"), and up-and-comers forging a similarly creative path like From Autumn to Ashes ("On the Offensive") and Submersed ("Better Think Again").- more on this story

Flyleaf Repackage Album

PR reports: A&M/Octone recording group Flyleaf will give their fans something brand new to talk about on October 30th, when they release a special edition two-disc version of their self-titled RIAA gold debut album FLYLEAF. In its 79th week on the Billboard 200 album chart, the original configuration remains inside the Top 100, with total sales of more than 750,000 and average sales of 8-9,000 per week � testament to the band's explosive performances this summer on their second consecutive Family Values Tour.

The new CD + DVD package builds on the success of "All Around Me," now in its sixth month out, and breaking into the Top 5 at Modern Rock radio. It's the third single from the album, following "I'm So Sick" and "Fully Alive" � and the video clips for all three will be included on the bonus DVD. (The video for "All Around Me" was shot by visionary director Paul Fedor, whose credits include Evanescence, Marilyn Manson, and 30 Seconds to Mars. The videos for "I'm So Sick" and "Fully Alive" were directed by the Brothers Strause, who've worked with A Perfect Circle, Linkin Park, Godsmack, Staind, and others.)

Chambers Brothers Reissues

PR reports: The Chambers Brothers will forever best be known for their 1968 hit "The Time Has Come Today" on Columbia Records. But long before they inked with CBS, the Mississippi-bred, California-weaned sibling band logged an extensive discography of bluesy soul recordings on Jack Lewark's L.A.-based indie Vault label, known primarily for the surf band the Challengers. On October 31, 2007, Collectors' Choice Music will reissue four out-of-print early Chambers Brothers albums: People Get Ready for the Chambers Brothers; Now, Shout!; and Feelin' the Blues.

Steeped in the gospel hymns dating back to their Mississippi Southern-Baptist church upbringing, George, Willie, Lester and Joe Chambers' earliest music freely combined blues, folk, soul and gospel. Their earliest sides included a gospel single for the Proverb label and a Folkways album with Barbara Dane. Signing with Vault in 1965, their recordings juxtaposed covers of blues standards with original compositions. The band became a stalwart presence at L.A.'s legendary Ash Grove folk venue. Only on their departure to Columbia did their soul become psychedelicized. 

Vault Records recorded a passel of material in a short time, and released much of it concurrent with the Chambers' Columbia recordings. Collectors' Choice presents these early albums all fully re-mastered and with extensive notes by music historian Richie Unterberger.- info on each reissue

Langerado Music Festival

PR reports: Now in its sixth year, the Langerado Music Festival has established its place as the unofficial kickoff to music festival season. For the sixth annual Langerado Music Festival, organizers are taking it to the next level and moving the event to the expansive Big Cypress Seminole Indian Reservation. 

Since the inaugural event in 2003, Langerado has grown enormously from 3,500 in attendance at Fort Lauderdale Stadium, to 2007's hugely successful event at Markham Park, where turnout reached 15,000 people per day. 

Big Cypress will offer Langerado 2008 attendees a much larger, yet still intimate, festival site. Attendees can also anticipate all-inclusive on-site camping, plenty of late night music, and an expanded VIP ticketholder experience. The transition from day festival to a camping event is a welcome change and marks Langerado's exceptional growth over the past five years. Seether Tracks and Late Night

Trey Day

PR reports: Songbook Entertainment/Atlantic recording artist Trey Songz has announced the upcoming release of his eagerly anticipated second album, "TREY DAY." The album - which follows the R&B sensation's 2005 debut, "I GOTTA MAKE IT" - arrives in stores this Tuesday, October 2nd.

Trey will celebrate "TREY DAY" with a live performance on Tuesday's installment of BET's 106 & Park. Scrap Metal to Headline Jude Jams

Zeppelin's Film Does Not Remain the Same on DVD

PR reports: Warner Home Video is pleased to announce the UK release of Led-Zeppelin: The Song Remains The Same [Special Edition] on standard DVD on Monday November 19th, followed by HD and Blu Ray on Monday November 26th, 2007. The Song Remains The Same will be released by Rhino UK as a 2-CD Digipack on November 19th.

Atrocity Reissue
