Hayes Carll Gets Animated
PR reports: After a debut indie release and an acclaimed self-released sophomore album, singer/songwriter Hayes Carll has found a home at Lost Highway. Trouble In Mind, Carll's Lost Highway debut was released on April 8, featuring a collection of songs that blend some of the finest elements of folk, country and rock with brainy, quirky lyrics. An animated short film to introduce you to Hayes has been posted on YouTube.

The 32-year-old Texan delivers songs born of baptism-by-fire experience, world weary observations and sharp wit. While his songs draw a direct line from some of his legendary Texas heroes such as Townes Van Zandt and Guy Clark, Carll has managed to put a stamp on his music that is truly his own.

Carll's personality permeates all of the songs on Trouble In Mind. He makes this quite clear in the infectious melody of "It's A Shame", the ragged throw down "Bad Liver and a Broken Heart", the satirical "She Left Me For Jesus", and even in his rendition of Tom Waits' "I Don't Wanna Grow Up". - Check out this animated short film. SO reports: Rhino Entertainment presents the Collector's Edition release of Otis Redding's Otis Blue: Otis Redding Sing's Soul CD available on April 22nd. Neither Otis Redding nor any of the members of the Stax house band had any idea that they were about to make soul music history when they entered the recording studio on July 9, 1965.

Grab A Terrible Shirt and Go See Psychostick
PR reports: With their "Holy Crap We're Touring" Tour only a few weeks behind them, PSYCHOSTICK has announced their next cross-country trek: THE TERRIBLE SHIRT TOUR. It's as dumb as it sounds - and their legion of fans wouldn't have it any other way.

Cooked up during 2007's Holiday Hate Tour, the band is encouraging, say - daring - fans to wear their most terrible shirt to the show. Josh (guitar) and Jakermeister (other guitar) have posted a tutorial on their website for this very purpose.

"We want the fans to be more involved on this tour. They're sending us photos of what they're gonna wear to the show. We used some of the photos on our tour poster and promo cards. It's a great package and we want everyone, including us, to walk away after a show and know that a forever memorable experience was just had," says Josh.

Opening each show will be Look What I Did and Powerglove

Acacia Strain Europe This Summer
PR reports: The Acacia Strain have confirmed a return trip to Europe with support from Annotations of An Autopsy and Knights of the Abyss, including a show with Converge, Inegrity and Coliseum in Germany.

Heading across the pond in July and August, this marks the band's first return after offering direct support to Hatebreed in April of 2007 and first set of tour dates after THE ACACIA STRAIN's plans to headlining shows throughout the US on the Sun Your Bunz Summer Tour with support from All Shall Perish, The Warriors, Eternal Lord and Since The Flood.

"I can't even express in words how excited I am for this tour," frontman Vincent Bennett says. "This is our first time in mainland Europe, so expect some culture shock on both ends. Annotations and Knights of The Abyss both bring devious amounts of heavy, so this should be a tour to contend with. See you in July!" - more on this story

Fall in Love With Love Again
SO reports: Rhino Entertainment presents the Collector's Edition release of Love's Forever Changes CD available on April 22nd. Rightfully regarded as the L.A.-based psychedelic folk-rock pioneers' finest achievement, Love's FOREVER CHANGES is an indispensable masterpiece. Often compared to Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band and Pet Sounds, the third and final album by the original Love lineup remains a timeless musical experience four decades after its Elektra release.

Produced by band cofounder Arthur Lee and The Doors' engineer/producer Bruce Botnick, the visionary album weaves a rich tapestry of sound as Lee's quavering voice delivers lyrics that are both enigmatic and poetic as he is backed by the band's gorgeous melodies and evocative orchestral arrangements.

Rhino celebrates the 40th anniversary of this truly essential album with a Collector's Edition of FOREVER CHANGES that contains the original 11 songs along with an alternate mix of the album comprised almost entirely of unreleased tracks. The bonus material also includes a trove of unreleased gems culled from the album's recording sessions. The two-disc set will be available April 22 in stores and at www.rhino.com - more details and a listening party

Five Finger Death Punch Release Bonus Track
PR reports: With new tour dates comes brand new music from Five Finger Death Punch. FFDP have announced the upcoming release of a special bonus song called "Never Enough." The song is available for free download exclusively to fans who have already bought or buy their debut album, The Way of the Fist.

But why release a song now rather than wait for a new album? As FFDP relates, the band wrote the song during some time away from the road and didn't want to wait for their next album to get the song to their fans. "We will be touring for the rest of the year, so we won't be releasing another album in '08," explains Guitarist Zoltan Bathory. "We're all very close to the Knuckleheads and didn't want to rip them off, so they won't have to buy the record all over againwhoever owns the album can download the song for free."

Vocalist Ivan Moody agrees, and was anxious to get the track heard by people. "We were really excited about the song, and rather than waiting a year or two to release it on a new album, we figured we should get it out there for everyone to hear as soon as possible," says Moody. "We're going to be on some kick-ass tours all this year, so we won't have time to record again for a while. Once we wrote this song and had a window to record it in KoRn's studio, we jumped at the chance."

To execute this giveaway, fans can go to the - this link, put their cd in the computer and there they will be able to download the song for free!
