Midnight To Twelve Week: Day 3 "Slam"
antiMusic reports: Are you a bit tired of emo? Burnt out on mallcore and bling obsessed hip-hop? If so, alternative rockers Midnight to Twelve just might have what you are looking for. The band's surprisingly eclectic self-titled album hits stores next week and to get you ready for it we asked frontman Jon Hartman to pick some of his favorite songs from the album and tell us about them. Here is Jon with today's song:

"Slam" This song was featured on the TV show One Tree Hill and was really the reason that we pulled the trigger and hit the road full time. We had pockets of fans around the country that wanted us in their city to rock out. We packed up everything and hit the road.

It's also the first single off our self-titled debut that will hit the shelves in stores July 22nd. It's a classic getting dumped on your butt song but it's really about freedom from people, places or things. It may hurt to those them at first but it is usually for the best. Sometimes we need to feel low to appreciate feeling great.

Hear what it's all about, learn more about the band and the CD, plus find out where you can see them live. It's all right - here

Miley Cyrus Wet T Shirt Photos Surface Online
Hecklerspray reports: Miley Cyrus is everywhere - TV, movie, magazines, record stores - so you'd expect that the girl would like a bit of privacy now and then.

Tish tosh, people, nothing of the sort. In fact, not even Miley Cyrus' constant media saturation is enough for her - which is why she appears to be chronicling her entire life with photographs in an incredibly regimented way. Even the part of her life that involves posing in the shower in just a wet white T-shirt.

That's right - photos of 15-year-old Miley Cyrus standing under a shower in just a wet T-shirt have been doing the internet rounds. It's about the 15th set of embarrassingly provocative photos that Miley Cyrus has had to deal with, but it's by no means the worst - rumour has it there's a candid snap somewhere of Miley enjoying and dancing to her father's song Achy Breaky Heart. That'd just finish her career instantly. - more on this story

Motley Not Really Live?
antiMusic reports: Aaron Leitko of the Washington Post has issued a rather disturbing review of Motley Crue's performance on the Crue Fest that calls into question just how much of their "performance" is really live. Here is part of what Aaron had to say about a recent stop on the tour:

When the band performed Sunday night at Nissan Pavilion, it was almost more machine than man -- the Sunset Strip's answer to Darth Vader. ... Frontman Vince Neil didn't even bother to sing the chorus to show-closing 1989 hit "Dr. Feelgood." Instead, the fist-pumping chant was piped in from some offstage source.

Only the frail and ghostly specter of guitarist Mick Mars -- who has long suffered from chronic degenerative arthritis -- seemed to be operating without the benefit of performance-enhancing doodads, as he played and soloed . . . you know . . . with his hands.

Interpol, Swervedriver Magnetic Super Group
PR reports: Two musicians and one rock critic. Not a new rock opera but instead, the story specifically of Magnetic Morning and its dawn. Brought together by a dual admiration for each other's music and introduced by a mutual journalist pal, Adam Franklin of Swervedriver/Toshack Highway and Interpol's Sam Fogarino make up the unique musical partnership of Magnetic Morning.

"The songs are a testament to Franklin and Fogarino's willingness to step away from their individual musical calling cards; there's no screeching distortion or three-guitar jams a la Swervedriver, and the music is considerable looser than Interpol's buttoned-up rock," exclaims Magnet.

Franklin and Fogarino plan to debut their new material on a fall U.S. tour this October and November. With nary a crewmember nor tour bus in site, these two seasoned musicians come to you armed with their instruments and their passion on their sleeves. - more on this story

Mayhem On the Road with Five Finger Death Punch: Week 1
antiMusic reports: This summer we're taking you on tour vicariously with some of today's best bands. We kick off with the Mayhem Festival with this entry from Five Finger Death Punch's Matt Snell:

Week one is well underway on the Rockstar Energy Drink Mayhem Festival. It's made abundantly clear by the searing temperatures, hordes of screaming metalheads and piles of beer bottles strewn through out the backstage parking lot. It really is an honor to be on this festival. The stages are full of really good bands. Both side stages offer metal for everyone. Each band has something different to offer and the crowds have been really energetic despite how hot it has been. It is very clear that metal is alive and well!

You would be making a HUGE mistake not coming to this festival. It is amazingly well organized and it's non stop music. Having two side stages allows us to start each band as soon as the other finishes. I would also add it's way cool to be on stage in front of thousands of people going ballistic only to see dude on his motorcycle doing backflips along the side stage. This will be the tour of the year... no question... and if my present state of hangover is any indication..... this will also be the party of the year...

Five Finger Death Punch are on the Mayhem Festival supporting their latest release "The Way of the Fist". Now go grab dates and hear why you should grab tix to this tour - right here!
