Midnight To Twelve Week: Day 5 "Good Morning Again"
antiMusic reports: Are you a bit tired of emo? Burnt out on mallcore and bling obsessed hip-hop? If so, alternative rockers Midnight to Twelve just might have what you are looking for. The band's surprisingly eclectic self-titled album hits stores next week and to get you ready for it we asked frontman Jon Hartman to pick some of his favorite songs from the album and tell us about them. Here is Jon with today's song:

"Good Morning Again" was birthed when Al got some horrible news about a dear friend of his that was diagnosed with Leukemia. The song was written as we were on the road in Arkansas and Texas. It is all about just wanting one more day with someone who has been taken from us. It is so easy to go through this life waiting for it to start and before you know it's halfway over or worse, it's completely taken from you. Everyone on this planet has experienced loss at some level. GMA is probably the hardest song to sing night after night. Depending on where we are all at emotionally it's tough to keep things from spilling over. I feel like the reason it has become one of the favorites during the show is we all experience the emotion together and remember those we have lost and hopefully remember to never take a day for granted.

Hear what it's all about, learn more about the band and the CD, plus find out where you can see them live. It's all right - here

antiMusic reports: Death pornographic? It may or may not have been intentional, but Metallica revealed the artwork to their forthcoming album, Death Magnetic, and some may question if the image has a subliminal pornographic angle with an allusion to a part of the female anatomy. Either that or dirty minds read far too much into things. Check out the artwork for yourself right here. You can grab wallpapers, icons and avatars of the artwork while you are there.

Rhino will on Sept. 23 release expanded reissues of the Replacements' final four albums for Sire Records. Each album features a host of previously unreleased bonus tracks; the entire reissue catalog will also see digital release the same day. In related news, frontman Paul Westerberg is planning to release a host of new music for 49 cents via his Web site on Saturday (July 19). more

Wondering what Enuff Z'nuff with Jake E. Lee on lead guitar sounds like? Grab a listen to "High" here. The track comes from their forthcoming album which the band hopes to have by the end of the year.

A review that brings tears to your eyes? This is a first. We've published thousands of reviews over the past ten years but never have we received such a positive response from a single review. I'm talking about Tony K's recent write up on Keith Urban's live stop in Chicago. I'll admit that I'm no fan of country, but his review did make me want to at least see Urban live. But it appears that for Urban's diehard fans, Tony tapped into something that they feel deeply and very few "critics" have experienced. So if you normally skip over the reviews, you might want to read this one which we've heard from several people brought tears to their eyes. Maybe Tony is on to something here? Read it - here

November Reign For New GNR CD?
antiMusic reports: Today's Running Out of Patience Meter reading: it has been 5,351 days since the last new Guns N' Roses album was released. Now today we have a new rumor about the alleged new GNR album "Chinese Democracy".

We've heard all the rumors before but this one involves the game Rock Band and says that Axl is planning to double the fans pleasure from the 'Use Your Illusion' double release. Of course, this was all supposedly "off the record".

Idolator had this report: Last night I got a tip about a video purporting to be footage of someone who works for Rock Band maker Harmonix talking about Chinese Democracy "off the record" at the E3 conference; during the chat, he made outsized claims like a) the album is not only coming out this year, it's going to be made up of not one, but four (?!) CDs; and b) September's Video Music Awards are going to go the big Axl appearance route again, what with MTV being part of the braintrust behind the game. - read more and watch the video

U2 Hotel Legal Victory
Jam! reports: U2 stars Bono and The Edge won a four-year legal battle Thursday to reshape their old-fashioned Dublin hotel, the Clarence, into a futuristic landmark - a decision that appeared to fly in the face of Ireland's conservative planning laws.

Ireland's planning board approved a $235-million plan produced by British architect Lord Norman Foster to gut and drastically expand the riverside hotel.

The new complex would more than triple the number of its rooms to 166 and would feature a massive, floodlit glass roof atrium - dubbed "the flying saucer." - [I'll take the repetitive guitar chord suite please! read more here]

Beck Debuts At No. 4
PR reports: Beck's Modern Guilt has entered the U.S. album chart at #4 with first week sales of nearly 85,000.

Produced by Beck and Danger Mouse, Modern Guilt is Beck's eighth studio album and has been generating some of the best critical notices of Beck's career to date. TIME called the record "a joySgiddy retro-futurism," USA Today lauded it as "retro-contemporary fusion for the ages," ROLLING STONE's 4-star lead review hailed it as "among Beck's strongest work... dazzling," and ENTERTAINMENT WEEKLY's lead review calls it "a simmering cauldron of postmillennial tension."

The vinyl edition of Modern Guilt, in stores July 22, includes download codes for high-fidelity (320 kbps) MP3s produced from a playback of the vinyl master. In other words, the first MP3 starts with a needle drop, and the ten MP3s will sound like a vinyl playback. Leave it to Beck to invent the first mobile turntable. - more on this story

Bjork Screws It Up For Everyone
NME reports: China has announced that it will impose severe restrictions on foreign performers following Bjork's 'outburst' at her concert there earlier this year.

In a statement posted on its website today (July 17), the Chinese government said that it will ban all entertainers from overseas, Hong Kong and Taiwan who have ever attended activities that "threaten national sovereignty."

This comes after Bjork's recent performance in Beijing at which she made a vocal show of support for freedom in Tibet, a subject considered taboo in China. - more on this story

$10 Concert Tix Anyone?
idolator reports: The San Diego Union-Tribune is reporting that Live Nation is cutting prices for 40 shows in southern California to $10 during a 14-hour window Friday, although anyone who buys those $10 tickets will still be forced to pony up for the various surcharges and "convenience fees" that are always tacked on to ducats purchased online.

Trying to put a happy face on the whole thing Live Nation Southern California president Nick Masters told the U-T that the experiment "would be a fun thing to do for our fans"you know, all the people who are really into everything the pink-and-white concert behemoth doesand not just a way to respond to a sagging economy and a growing wariness about throwing every frivolous expense on a credit card.

According to the Union-Tribune, tickets to these shows originally ranged between $59.75 and $178.75. The U-T-compiled full list of the 11 San Diego-area shows that are involved in this "fun" fire sale - here
