The project features material recorded by Floyd members David Gilmour, Nick Mason and Rick Wright during the sessions for the band's 2004 release, "The Division Bell."
The album is a tribute to keyboardist Wright, who died from cancer in 2008 at the age of 65. Produced by Gilmour, Phil Manzanera, Youth and Andy Jackson, its being billed as a four-sided instrumental album with one song, "Louder Than Words", to include new lyrics by Gilmour's wife, Polly Samson.
"'The Endless River' has as its starting point the music that came from the 1993 Division Bell sessions," explains Gilmour. "We listened to over 20 hours of the three of us playing together and selected the music we wanted to work on for the new album. Over the last year we've added new parts, re-recorded others and generally harnessed studio technology to make a 21st century Pink Floyd album. With Rick gone, and with him the chance of ever doing it again, it feels right that these revisited and reworked tracks should be made available as part of our repertoire."
"'The Endless River' is a tribute to Rick," adds Mason. "I think this record is a good way of recognizing a lot of what he does and how his playing was at the heart of the Pink Floyd sound. Listening back to the sessions, it really brought home to me what a special player he was."

Their Scion x Slayer Mobile Amp tC will be shown off at the Specialty Equipment Manufacturers Association show in Las Vegas in November. It will later appear at public events.
Bosses say: "Slayer has a look, sound and approach all its own. The band's aggressive style carries into the tC sports coupe's exterior look and band-inspired details. Inside, the vehicle has been transformed into a multimedia machine with amps, towers of speakers, a custom mixer and a 32-inch monitor for media playback."

The Kinks will release another career-spanning set - The Anthology 1964-1971 - on Nov. 18 via BMG/InGrooves. It's a five-CD, 100-plus-song retrospective billed as the "most extensive" Kinks release of its kind, ever.
While the 51st anniversary of the band is less special in most traditional metrics, one key celebratory ingredient may only be available during next year's 51st Kinks birthday: a Kinks reunion.
Speaking with Rolling Stone, Dave Davies said told the magazine, "It would be a shame if Ray [Davies] and I didn't do something next year. I'm prepared to talk. If Ray's got some great ideas, let me hear them. I have my own ideas about how it should be presented. But I don't want it to be a Ray Davies show where he lets his little brother stand in the corner, which he likes to do. It has to be done properly and respectfully. We have so much great music that goes back so many years. We both want to do something next year."
That would certainly fit with Davies' post to his Facebook late last month, noting that he'd "love to do some form of a Kinks reunion with Ray."
Time will tell if the Kinks reunion actually happens, but for now, check out the extensive tracklist for The Anthology 1964-1971, which includes 25 previously unreleased tracks

Joining the frontman on the project are drummer Carmine Appice, bassist Tony Franklin and guitarist Karl Cochran, who is recovering after suffering a stroke earlier this year.
And Turner says he can't wait for fans to hear the material as everyone on the album brought something different to the table. He says: "We wanted to keep it retro with a modern edge. The songs are classic rock, but that's an understatement. They are what they are and they transformed as we went along recording.
"We are very happy to finish the record and finally able to get it out to the public. Everyone in this band is a true individual and stylist. When you put it all together, you have Rated X."

Transatlantic and Winery Dogs drummer Portnoy recently said: "Direction wasn't even discussed; we just did what we did. I think perhaps noe having a producer to 'trim the fat' led to the songs breathing and expanding a bit more."
Deep Purple Guitarist Steve Morse added: "This is an album full of many layers. The more you listen, the more you can hear." Check out the full album stream

"I have always been a thrift-store guy," says the rocker. "I'm a flea market guy. I love going to flea markets and thrift stores." A lot of the items in Alice's Attic are from Cooper's personal collection.
"I'm a shopaholic," he explains. "When I'm on tour, I come home with 10 suitcases full of clothes. So I just go through and say, 'OK, store, store, store, store.' A lot of good labels. Everything that's mine was worn."

Jordantron offers users access to the sounds he's used on stage for years - and he admits he's surprised by how effective it is. He says: "It's the first time I've officially released the sounds I use in all my live concert situations. I've spent a lot of time going through my personal library to see what made the magic happen, taking all those sounds and putting them inside an iPad.
"I've been working with Jordantron for a while and it still amazes me to put my hands on the iPad and get the huge sounds that usually come from my larger equipment."

The LP is on white vinyl and a label that contains a vaguely Radiohead-esque design on it, and then the photo is retweeted by Radiohead producer and Yorke's fellow Atoms for Peace member Nigel Godrich.
Earlier this year, Radiohead guitarist Jonny Greenwood told BBC 6Music that the band would reconvene this month to start working on the followup to 2011's King of Limbs, saying, "We're going to start up in September, playing, rehearsing and recording and see how it's sounding."

But he says it's a misquote, and it took place after he'd tried to insist no plans were underway. Instead, he says, his words were based on previously-reported news about Bowie compilation Nothing Has Changed, which includes new track Sue (Or In A Season Of Crime).
Visconti says via Facebook: "I quoted the man, who said 'More music soon' on Bowienet. That music is Sue, the single coming in November." He explains the CNN interview took place during rehearsals for his live revival of The Man Who Sold The World, which completes its UK tour in London tonight. "At the end of my interview I'm thrown an off-topic 'zinger' question," he says.

And frontman Marcel "Schmier" Schirmer says the cover art fits "perfectly" with their music. He says: "The artwork was created by Hungarian artist Gyula Havancsk, who also created the recent artworks of Destruction and Headhunter. We will show you an intense cover trailer that will show all the fine points of this classical metal art that fits perfect with our music very soon!"

"Coming over here seemed to make is acceptable in Britain again. It's weird. We're like a foreign band now. It's exciting to see us because we don't live there."

But Townsend says in a Reddit Ask Me Anything session: "The 'break' is less about not composing - that's what I do, to be fair - but more about not allowing myself to get cornered by my own designs. The break will be more about doing it when I want to as opposed to having five deadlines to reach."
Asked if there would ever be a follow-up to his 2006 ambient album The Hummer, he replies: "Yeah, I'm working on something along those lines. Different though. Tentatively named Garden Music."

The tragedy put an end to any chance of a Pantera reunion, following the band's collapse the previous year. Paul has constantly shouted down suggestions of the surviving members gathering with another guitarist - last month he called the idea "selfish" although he insisted there was no bad blood between him and his ex-colleagues.
Now he tells Fozzy frontman Chris Jericho in Talk Is Jericho: "It was a really hardcore, tragic event - the guy wanted to kill me too. Somehow I was lucky enough to escape that. I'm still here. I don't want to remember it; I don't want to think about it.
"It's hard. It's hard. But I've found peace. I will do everything and anything I can to carry on the legacy and the tradition that my brother always had." He had a lot more to say

Now Sweet - who just launched his supergroup with George Lynch - says: "Why would anyone want to continue buying music when the trend is to receive it for free in their inbox? I think it does devalue music - especially the music of all the little fish in this enormous pond."
He continues: "It seems to me that the door is slowly closing for other bands to have the same opportunities. Only a select few will see the light of these astronomical paydays. The rest will have to work even harder, only to see less fruit from their labor."

In "Rocks", Perry reveals that he considers Steven Tyler family, despite the fights the two have had through the years. "He's the brother I never had, which is a lot of the basis for our dynamics," Perry tells Billboard.
"[The other band members] play an important part in mediating. Though when push comes to shove, when the two of us are in a room and it gets down to the real nitty-gritty, we have to deal with it ourselves. That's what makes it exciting."

Formed in 2010 by drummer Janosch Rathmer and singer/guitarist Nick van Delft, Zodiac were later joined by Stephan Gall and bass player Ruben Claro. Following an EP release in 2011, the band's debut album A Bit Of Devil was released in 2012, leading Classic Rock to describe the band as "a serious candidate for the title: newcomer of the year".
New album Sonic Child is the follow-up to 2013's A Hiding Place, and was recorded at Megaphon Tonstudios in Arnsberg with producer Martin Meinschafer. "This album is all about the love to the music in general", says Janosch. "We really hope that you'll like it the same way as we do. It's the most diverse Zodiac record so far. So sit back, listen and enjoy. Thank you!"

The band had this to say about the video: "No Morality is one of our favourite tracks on the album. It's got a killer of an ending, which is why we put it at the end of the record.
"We decided to make a video as we felt it never really got the attention it demanded - and it's demanded a lot of attention, being probably the most face-melting track of the album."

I started writing the music for the verses with the crazy, 'don't-even-know-what-style'/'you'll-know-what-I'm-talking-about-when-you-hear-it' beat a few years ago (around the time we were recording our previous album 'Refuge') but didn't know what to do with it at the time... I though it was pretty groovy but I just didn't have 'what it needed' in me to finish the rest yet. It wasn't its time yet.
Last year we went through a hard year of heavy touring and dealt a lot of bullsh*t, internally & externally. Things got pretty hard for us and we didn't know how we felt about the future. A lot of trust was lost in relationships, we faced a lot of resistance from the industry and we just didn't know where to go from there. Sometimes you spend a lot of time & energy trying to make everyone happy and the result is the exact opposite. The pressure can build so high you just want to run away, escape and say 'f*** it' to everything. You find that in the end this is for you and to stop getting caught up in giving a sh*t about what anyone else thinks. I'm making what I want to make and I don't care if people/industry have a hard time 'getting' it. In the end, it is YOU and only YOU that's in your way of accomplishing the things you want to do. No matter what other so-called 'important' people tell you.
I sat down in late 2013, full of emotion & fire to write. The rest of the song ended up coming together pretty fast. I was inspired. The guitar lines were full of energy and a certain level of 'bad-assery'. The electronics created a cool, sinister tone. We decided that it would be a nice, different touch to have Chalsey lead the vocals. This song was exactly how I felt and I had created a sort of 'manifesto' to myself on how I was going to deal with the near future. I realized it was up to me to create my opportunities and to take myself where I wanted to go.
Hearing is believing. Now that you know the story behind the song, listen for yourself and watch the video here and learn more about the band, the EP and grab their tour dates
