We already know that Marky Chavez cant
spell and almost got his ass kicked by Down. I could be wrong, maybe they
didnt misspell Edema and the word Adema is Spanish for total crap, cuz
that definition would fit this CD perfectly.
No dude, Im not being harsh, its true.
This guy has absolutely no business making music. I want to smash my TV
every time his silly little face comes on MTV2. Im serious, the guys looks
like a total dork trying to act cool. It only gets worst if you actually
listen to their music, which can be summed up in two words: total shit.
Ademas debut album took awful to new levels of lame. This EP just drags
us further down to the seventh circle of nu-metal hell. Whats next a new
Limp Bizkit CD? Only a label that brought us Barry Manilow could unleash
something this devoid of musical merit.
If you heard Ademas debut CD, you know
what to expect here. Down tuned guitars, semi-accomplished drums (Kris
is the bands only saving grace), lame lyrics and utterly terrible vocals
from Marky Chavez. Give it up Marky, Jonathan has the real talent in the
family. This dude just talks and calls it singing. Make up your mind Marky,
either sing or rap. This talking crap is a joke and so is your band.
If you want to know why people hate nu-metal
with so much passion, just listen to this piece of crap.

i think that this Cd is actually ood, proabbly not as good as their other CDs but its still good. And their first album was awesome! how can you diss a band of great talent? They've taken rock into another direction! if you actually listened to the lyrics, you could tell they have meaning behind them, its not just like 'keep rollin rollin rollin', like limp bizkit. it actually has depth! Adema rules, one of the best bands i've ever heard!

I'll put it to you this way : from age 13 to age 19 I lived what some might call a "Bohemian" lifestyle. I was also an avid martial artist, and engaged in alot full-contact sparring. Then, I spent four years in the US Marine Corps--- still maintaining my penchant for wine, women, and song, but abstaining from the "other" things. Actually, I still look as I did when I was in high school, have made out fairly well in life ( though I am FAR from rich ), and have kept most of my wits about me--- in fact, Greenmuse has a good forum thread about this kind of thing, titled "I'm not getting older, I'm getting better". To whom it may concern : this may shock a few of you--- who do not post here on a regular basis--- but it would be easier for me to post those bands which I do not like. I own many hundreds of cd's, from nearly every style and decade. Keeping this in mind, it should be easy for you to see why a band such as Adema is--- to me--- rather blase. There is nothing about their sound that is unique. What constitutes a "good" band is certainly a question rooted in subjectivity. I do feel, however, that ONE major component to that answer is that a band generally regarded as good usually has "something" about their sound which is unique, and allows the listener to quickly identify the band to whom the song belongs ( of course there are exceptions to this rule ). Adema's sound simply strikes me as being rather "undifferent". How are they unique from those bands who play in that particular style? They aren't. To me, that translates to "they are an of-the-moment-band". BOTTOM LINE : I am 26, and wish I could count how many times bands like this one have been showered with praise by people who, after a year or two, will think they were "lame", or "so last year". Even better, they will at times deny having ever said that they liked them AT ALL. I will be very surprised if, a few years from now, I hear anyone still gushing about Adema being "the best". Is there anyone who REALLY doesn't believe me? PS--- in case some of you have "failed to notice"--- those who I "rag" on here were helping themselves to the "Rag Pie" BEFORE I jounced upon them. "We reap what we sow"--- by nature, I like to be the guy who points that lesson out. ( smiles broadly )

I saw Adema in concert and they sucked! They sounded horrible! They blew out their speakers because they put the volume for their guitars and microphones too high! It sounded like a train was coming through. I mean come on, at that concert Simple Plan recived a better aplause. And Timbo if you want to listen to a good band, listen to System Of A Down.......wow, those guys are awesome live. Dam*, I even like Sum 41 better than Adema. I've seen them at small clubs and in big theaters. I believe they have amazing talent and they are really great to their fans. Give them a break. In my opinion, Adema is a great band. And i actually think that people should give them more credit for what they do and have done. Just because of the fact that Mark Chavez is Jonathon Davis' younger brother doesnt mean that its the only reason why the band made it. If the people dont like their music, they wouldnt be selling records. And considering they are selling records they must be doing something right. Its pretty crappy for you to trash them. Maybe next time you should right a decent reveiw and come up with an actual reason for why you hate this band so much. I'm automatically biased, because I love Adema. I saw them open for Linkin Park, and I had no clue who they were. We were walking in during the middle of their performance, and all I remember is sitting in my seat captivated by Marky's stage presence. I bought the cd the very next day, and I've been to every Adema appearance in Detroit since then. I respect everyone's opinion, but this review wasn't an accurate representation of the band. It's alright, though...my favorite group meets with this kind of disrespect and thoughtless jibes day after day. As long as there are fans, and as long as these guys keep rocking...the career of Adema will tell it's own tale. These guys deserve nothing but the best!

Agreed. I should clarify, though, that my observations were taken collectively from several posts- not just yours. Excellant point DeadSun. Poor Scott gets a lot of this since he likes to go a little over the top in his reviews. But at the end of the day all a review adds up to is one persons opinion. You can try to be as objective as possible but by their very nature critisms are simply the utterence of the authors persection of the material being reviewed. Unbiased review is an oxymoron.

I think KoRn has sold out after ten or so years of recording which is good, and I have some reason to believe that they are going to come back on top again... but as soon as 'Freaking Out' and 'The Way You Like It' came out it was pretty much a downfall. I guess Giving In was ALRIGHT, but that was the only ALRIGHT song on the album...but I don't think it's doing you anything to write this review. I may not like Adema, but I'm not going to say that I hate them because I don't. I respect them but I'm not going to buy their CD...

Adema rocks! Their first self titled CD was great. I enjoyed all the tracks. I don't know about this CD though. I have heard that song "Immortal" and I didn't like it as much as their other stuff. Besides, they don't really have many quote unquote "new" tracks on Insomniac's Dream. The last tracks are all remixes of the original stuff. As far as the band goes, Mark Chavez has a lot of lyrical talent. I have to agree their drummer Kris Kohl rocks! I don't think their music is as bad as you say, they're unique.
