Tommy Lee Cleared

From MuchMusic.com
Tommy Lee has been cleared of wrong-doing in a civil lawsuit resulting from the drowning of a four-year-old boy in the rock star's swimming pool in 2001. The boy died during a birthday party for Lee's son, and his parents had accused Lee of failing to have the pool adequately supervised.  They sought $10 million (U.S.) in damages. The jury delivered their verdict after deliberating for less than three hours. No criminal charges were ever laid against Lee in this incident, and a coroner ruled that the boy's death was accidental.

White Stripes TV

CMJ reports:
Apparently the White Stripes can count Conan O’Brien among their legions of fans. The late night talk-show host has been taken enough with the group to book it as the musical guest on his program — for an entire week. Yes, Jack and Meg White will become the first musical act to ever take over Late Night With Conan O’Brien for a five-night run, performing a different song each evening from April 22–25. Expect to hear songs from the Detroit duo’s latest release, Elephant, played live in all their glory throughout the on-air residency. “It’s exciting to have a band as creative and relevant as the White Stripes at Late Night for a whole week,” quipped O’Brien. “In fact, they're staying at my apartment.”
