This is a new tactic used by record companies to try and combat illegal mp3s. The idea is to frustrate those who would steal artists music by trying to download illegal mp3s by flooding services like Kaaza with bogus copies of the songs.
One of the bogus mp3s used to trick filetraders was a looped message from Madonna where she asked "What the f*** do you think you're doing?"
Hacker(s) fought back by hacking into Madonnas official website and posting real mp3 copies of the tracks along with a message that read "This is what the f*** I think I'm doing", according to The Smoking Gun.
Madonna.com was reportedly taken offline for nearly fifteen hours after the hack was discovered.
