(PR) As evidenced by their fourth release overall, The Reckoning, the Oklahoma-based quartet, Pillar, continue to hone their melodic yet simple and tough sound. "We're all from the Midwest. It's all about real rock and roll," explains singer Rob Beckley. And while Reckoning should appeal to fans of good ol' rock and roll, there is a modern edge to the tunes as well - the Tool-esque "Awake," the Jimmy Eat World-like "Sometimes," and the Rage Against the Machine vs. AC/DC heavyweight bout, "Everything." CD in stores October 3rd, 2006. Tracks: Everything * Awake * When Tomorrow Comes * The Reckoning * Tragedy * Last Goodbye * Angel In Disguise * Elysian * Crossfire * Resolution * Sometimes * Wherever The Wind Blows * Chasing Shadows at Midnight
