(PR) The Northwest's premier acoustic music festival returns for its fifth year to beautiful Horning's Hideout in North Plains, Oregon, on August 25-27. The event boasts three days of nearly all-acoustic music, culminating each night with main stage performances from musical hosts Yonder Mountain String Band, this year joined by special guest fiddler Darol Anger (David Grisman Quintet, Psychograss). Also on the bill are acoustic Son Volt, Todd Snider and a special electric set by Danny Barnes. In addition, Umphrey's McGee's Brendan Bayliss will team up with YMBS's Jeff Austin for the first ever public performance of these longtime friends and musical colleagues. Meanwhile, Nickel Creek's Chris Thile will be on site for all three days of the festival for several surprise sit-ins, and will host the famed String Summit Super Jam. Always a String Summit highlight, past year's Super Jam performers have included David Grisman, Vasser Clements, Hot Rize, Jerry Douglas and Tim O'Brien.
