Loreena McKennitt US Tour

. (PR) Loreena McKennitt and her global village of supporting musicians have begun an autumn US tour, which commenced October 5 in Denver. The American tour, in support of studio recording An Ancient Muse and recent DVD/CD release Nights from the Alhambra, comprises 17 dates and will take Loreena into a number of markets she has not visited since 1998.

Loreena's fellow musicians on this tour are Tal Bergman (drums and percussion), Ben Grossman (hurdy-gurdy and percussion), Brian Hughes (guitars, oud, Celtic bouzouki), Tim Landers (bass), Caroline Lavelle (cello), Rick Lazar (percussion), Hugh Marsh (violin), Donald Quan (viola, keyboards, tabla and accordion) and Stratis Psaradellis (lyra and Greek lute).

Concert goers can expect to hear highlights from An Ancient Muse along with much-loved favourites from across Loreena's recording career. According to Loreena, "The recording cycle does not feel complete until we have the opportunity to share the music with a live audience, just as one might share a favourite meal with friends. It has been a long time since we have performed in a number of these communities and I'm very pleased that we now have a window of opportunity to do so."
