Pete Wentz's Label Signs The Ready Set

11/25/2009
.
Alternative-pop solo artist, The Ready Set, has signed to Pete Wentz's Decaydance Records and Sire Records for the first release in the newly minted joint venture between the two labels. The Ready Set is currently in and out of the studio and will release his first full-length album in the spring of 2010.

Known as a jack of all trades; drummer, singer and keyboardist Jordan Witzigreuter (who goes by the moniker The Ready Set) is more than ready to lay his claim in the music world.

Citing everyone from Daft Punk and Kenna to Kanye West as influences, Jordan stresses that there is no specific comparison that can be made for his music - and that is just the way he likes it. To be unique and genuine in today's scene is something rarely seen by contemporaries today, but it seems to be easily mastered by this young musician.

Having shared the stage with the likes of Boys Like Girls, Never Shout Never, and The Scene Aesthetic, The Ready Set has already developed a passionate and loyal fan-base in a relatively brand new career. The self-described shy and reserved Jordan literally transforms when taking the stage with an in-your-face memorable live show - complete with explosive lighting effects, infectious melodies and mind-blowing beats. "Our shows are a party… All I care about is having fun." says Jordan. THE READY SET will be hitting the road the 'A Very Acoustic Christmas' tour with Stephen Jerzak and Breathe Electric starting December 28 in Tulsa, OK. The band will then embark on the 'Once It Hits Your Lips' tour with The Friday Night Boys, Anarbor and The Bigger Lights to jump-start the new year. The 'Once It Hits Your Lips' tour kicks off January 22 in South Hackensack, NJ, and is scheduled to end in West Palm Beach, FL February 13.
