Cast Announce Hometown Reunion Gig

12/07/2010
.
(Gibson) Hot off their first show in nine years, former Britpop darlings Cast are preparing to head home to Liverpool this week. The reunited band consisting of original members John Power (vocals, guitar), Liam "Skin" Tyson (guitar), Peter Wilkinson (bass) and Kevin O'Neill played a 17-song, greatest-hits set at London's Shepherds Bush Empire on Friday night in celebration of the 15th anniversary of their debut album, All Change.

Singer John Power, formerly of The La's, told the NME that he originally had reservations about getting the band back together because he didn't want to taint their legacy.

"That's what I was always scared of doing becoming a parody of myself," he said. "I refused to go down that avenue. I don't know whether it's the amount of time that's passed, it being 15 years since our first album, but I was talking to people about it and there just seemed to be a lot of goodwill out there so I thought 'Why not?'" - more on this story
