The Whigs are proud to return to The Late Show with David Letterman on March 31st in support of their upcoming album, IN THE DARK. Set for a March 16th release on ATO Records, IN THE DARK, with its impressive range and undeniable vigor, sees The Whigs doing what all-great bands do - furthering their artistic scope with each successive effort. Bursting with energy and emotion, The Whigs tear open the artistic envelope, bringing both nuance and eclectic strength to this exciting new collection of songs without losing the pedal-to-the-metal power that earned them universal praise as one of America's finest young rock 'n' roll bands. Beginning February 26th in Sacramento, California, The Whigs will join Black Rebel Motorcycle Club for a 3 week North American tour. The band will also appear at this year's South By Southwest Music Conference and will embark on a soon to be announced co-headlining tour in late March.
An exuberant, no-holds-barred live act, The Whigs followed the release of their ATO debut MISSION CONTROL with nearly non-stop touring, spending much of 2008 and 2009 on the road as headliners, as special guests of Kings of Leon, The Kooks and Drive-By Truckers (to name a few) and captivated concert goers with stage-stealing festival performances at international events like Lollapalooza, Fuji Rock, and T In The Park.
