Don't Call It A Reunion Of The Cars

(Gibson) In a new interview with Rolling Stone, The Cars talk openly about their new record, with frontman Ric Ocasek saying, "This is not a reunion it's more like a conjunction I never thought I'd make another Cars record [because of] the past, personalities, and [bassist Benjamin Orr's] passing away [in 2000]."

Whatever you want to call it, The Cars are back together and in mid-March will be releasing their first new album in nearly 25 years called Move Like This.

Ocasek says it all happened because he had written a bunch of new songs that he really liked and he thought to call up his former bandmates to see about fleshing them out. more on this story
