Dickinson Talks Iron Maiden's Download History

09/25/2012
.
(hennemusic) Last week, Iron Maiden announced that they will headline the 2013 Download Festival on Saturday, June 15, which sees the band return to the legendary Donington Park to headline for a record fifth time, following appearances in 1988, 1992, 2003 & 2007.

In part one of a new series of sessions with Metal Hammer magazine, Maiden frontman Bruce Dickinson speaks about the band's illustrious history at the event, as well as what's in store for the 2013 show.

"This one is unashamedly celebrating the era of 'Seventh Son [Of A Seventh Son]' and a lot of stuff off that record," says Dickinson. "Although we've chucked a few other tunes in the pot, ones we haven't played in a while… big hits in their day – 'Phantom Of The Opera' being a case in point." more on this story
