J. Cole To Battle Kanye West For The Top

06/14/2013
.
(Radio.com) In this week's episode of Rewind, J. Cole battles Kanye West for release week dominance. Both are set to drop their new albums, Born Sinner and Yeezus, next week.

Cole chose to challenge West to an album release showdown, explaining that his decision to move up the release date of his album to go against Kanye just felt right. "It felt like fate," Cole said. "It felt like something I should do."

Meanwhile, J. Cole has decided to stream his album in its entirety on his website after it leaked early. As for Kanye fans, they'll just have to wait until his album release, as he's not even confirming the album's tracklist.

In the episode, Carl Chery, who works in Hip-Hop/R&B Programming for Beats Music, shares his thoughts on J. Cole and Kanye West's SoundScan challenge and the likelihood of Mac Miller's chance of trumping both artists in this week's episode. Whose album do you think will soar to No. 1? We research the answer though, let's be real, it's gonna be Kanye. Watch here.
