Iron Maiden Release Wasted Years Video From New DVD

(Classic Rock) Iron Maiden have released their 1988 performance of Wasted Years from their Maiden England DVD. The double-disc extended version of their classic 1989 VHS video is due out next week.

Available for the first time on DVD, the new version includes the previously unreleased encores: Running Free, Run To The Hills and Sanctuary, meaning the full 110-minute show can now be seen. Producer Kevin Shirley has created a brand new 5.1 surround sound mix, while Martin Birch's original stereo mix remains.

A second disc contains a 40-minute film charting part three in the history of Maiden, featuring recent interviews with the NWOBHM giants, telling the story of the band's career towards the end of the 1980s. Also included is the 90-minute documentary 12 Wasted Years, originally released in 1987.

Manager Rod Smallwood says: "We've been busy upgrading this concert footage for a long time with our in-house film producer and director Andy Matthews. We know how eagerly our fans have been awaiting the new version so we wanted to give it the best possible treatment." Watch the video here.
