(Radio.com) Depeche Mode have teamed up with charity: water and watch manufacturer Hublot for a unique partnership in support of clean drinking water around the world.

Band members Martin Gore, Dave Gahan and Andy Fletcher have all donated their individual birthdays to charity: water. They are asking fans to use the occasions not to make financial donations to the cause of bringing clean drinking water to underdeveloped countries.

"I have personally been a supporter and advocate of charity: water for a while now," said songwriter Martin Gore in March of this year at the launch of the partnership, which also includes limited edition Depeche Mode watches produced by Hublot. "I'm thrilled that we as a band can expand our support for the organization and help to make significant difference in places around the world struggling without a proper supply of drinking water."

"Martin Gore is a Well member, he's one of the individuals who helps us finance our operations budget," added Paul Young, charity: water's director of digital. "One of the key things about charity: water is we have a 100 percent model, where every cent of public donations we use to fund public water projects. more on this story
