(hennemusic) The Who's Roger Daltrey is collaborating on a biopic of the band's late drummer, Keith Moon. Daltrey has been a long-time supporter of the untitled project, the first in a multi-picture development and financing deal between global film production and distribution company Exclusive Media and Da Vinci Media Ventures.

A writer is currently being commissioned to kick-start the development of the script about the legendary Moon, known for his eccentric ways and raucous drumming before his death in 1978.

"The Keith Moon project is one close to my heart," says Daltrey, "so I am excited to reinvigorate it and grateful to Wendy [Rutland], Toby [Moores] and Da Vinci for their enthusiastic support."

"I am a massive Who fan and consider Keith Moon to be the greatest rock drummer of all time," added Da Vinci's Wendy Rutland. "I could feel Roger's passion and detailed perspective for this unique story after our first phone call. We are excited to be topping up our deal with Exclusive, and look forward to growing the relationship." more on this story
