Christine McVie Wants To Rejoin Fleetwood Mac

11/25/2013
.
(Classic Rock) Christine McVie has admitted she'd love to rejoin Fleetwood Mac but guitarist Lindsey Buckingham could prevent it from happening. She rejoined her bandmates for a guest appearance on the UK leg of their current world tour, which has been cut short after her ex-husband, bassist John McVie, was diagnosed with cancer and required urgent treatment.

It was the first time she'd been seen on stage with them since quitting in 1998 after 28 years. And she says she'd be delighted to make a more permanent return.

McVie tells the Guardian: "I like being with the band, the whole idea of playing music with them. I miss them all. If they were to ask me I would probably be very delighted. But it hasn't happened, so we'll have to wait and see."

"I think I was just music'd out," she says of her decision to leave. "I suffered from some kind of delusion that I wanted to be an English country girl. It took me 15 years to realise it's not really what I wanted at all." But what about Lindsey?
