David Bowie Previews New Song 'Atomica'

10/31/2013
.
(Radio.com) In a new clip highlighting the deluxe edition of David Bowie's most recent album, The Next Day, the singer previews a new track called "Atomica." Fans only get a snippet of the song, which will be featured on The Next Day Extra (out Nov. 5), but it's clear from just this little bit it's a guitar heavy number that harkens back to his Aladdin Sane days.

With this track, Bowie is trying to prove rock and roll isn't just a young man's game, shouting "Let's get this show on the road!" as if he's waiting on us.

The artfully shot video also acts as a trailer for the album, revealing what exactly will be included in this expanded set. The three-disc deluxe version of The Next Day will include the original 14-track album, a DVD featuring four music videos, along with another disc featuring four previously unreleased tracks including ("Atomica," "The Informer," "Like a Rocket Man" and "Born In a UFO") and two remixes, including James Murphy's 10-minute revamp of Bowie's "Love Is Lost." Check out the song here.
