Climax Blues Band's Colin Cooper Posthumous Album To Be Released

03/07/2014
.
(The Blues) An album of recordings left by the late Colin Cooper, co-founder of the Climax Blues Band, will be released in the UK on Monday - along with a website featuring unseen photos, career information and memorabilia.

Cooper died aged 69 in 2008 but the tracks, containing vocal and guitar parts, were only recently discovered by his family. His son Ben tells the Staffordshire Newsletter:

"We were clearing Dad's things away and we found all these tapes. They had to be repaired - they'd been in the cupboard since 1995," he said. "I contacted Repertoire Records and sent them some MP3s, and they loved it. Next thing I knew I was signing a record deal." more on this story
