(Radio.com) Marvel Comics is preparing to release one of their greatest tributes to hip-hop. The publisher has created covers paying homage to some of the genre's most revered album covers of all time.

Among the many album used for inspiration are classics such as Dr. Dre's Chronic, A Tribe Called Quest's Midnight Marauders, and The Notorious B.I.G.'s Ready to Die.

"For years, Marvel Comics and hip-hop culture have been engaged in an ongoing dialogue," Marvel Editor-in-Chief Axel Alonso said in a release via The Verge. "Beginning this October, we will shine a spotlight on the seamless relationship between those two unique forces."

You can see a few of the more than 50 album inspired covers on the way from the comic giant. See the new Marvel cover and the album art it was based on here.
