Drake Documentary Producers Considering Legal Action Over Denial
. (Radio.com) Even though he stars in it, Drake might be denying involvement with the upcoming documentary Drake's Homecoming: The Lost Footage, but according to the producers, he signed off on it. The production companies behind the film are reportedly considering a $15 million libel suit against the rapper. In an interview with the LA Times, co-executive producer Mark Berry explained how the film got off the ground. He said it happened with Drake's signature on a 2009 contract that promised the rapper a $15,000 cash fee and a 15 percent profit royalty, which hardly compare to his take-home income today. But Berry claimed that Serious Entertainment, the promoters of the concert, approached Drizzy and his label Cash Money more than once to see if he wanted to buy the footage--and he declined.
