Singled Out: Joseph Rose's True Colors EP
.
Vancouver rapper Joseph Rose released his new EP "True Colors" today (Aug 26) and to celebrate we asked him to tell us about the tracks "Pour You Out" and "Cookin' (Ft. P Reign)." Here are the stories: "Pour You Out" was a song inspired by my childhood events and lack of relationship with my father. I made the song to support my half brother and sister who are now going through and witnessing the side of our dad that I witnessed as a young kid. I made the song to help my family know that they are not alone, and that there are brighter days ahead. I also made the song in hopes that my dad could learn to forgive himself for who he is, stop making excuses for his actions and move forward. Overall I guess I really just wanted to make a song that has a message that millions of kids and people that grew up with single parents can relate to, a song that can touch home. Hearing is believing. Now that you know the story behind the song, listen for yourself and learn more about the album right here!
