Crosby Loggins and the Light - We All Go Home Review

.
Not since father and son rockers John and Julian Lennon has there been two musicians who not only look but also sound alike. But like the Lennons this is the case with Kenny Loggins and his son Crosby.

"We All Go Home" is the debut album for this young rocker. The album contains 12 tracks of country rock, rock and pop music. "We All Go Home" demonstrates Crosby's diversity as a musician. From the opening track "Good Enough" – a catchy pop tune – to the end of the album there is the haunting sound of Kenny but the music is all Crosby.

Crosby Loggins and his band mates use the traditional rock band instruments but have added a fiddle for that little something extra that gives the music a feel good want to hear more vibe. From the ballad "Man in the Middle" to a rocking piece "March on America' with driving rock beats Crosby Loggins shows talent goes beyond DNA and Crosby Loggins knows what to do with his musical genes to make good music.

All of his life Crosby Loggins has felt the pressure of following in his dad Kenny's footsteps. Crosby has always loved music and played it from a young age. He got his first guitar when he was 13. But even the love of music could not overshadow the do what dad Does stigma. As a result, Crosby tried every form of manual labor to distance himself from dad and music; but the musical drives were too strong and he returned to music. Only this time for himself. On "We All Go Home" in one of his songs Crosby says that he had been accused of trying to fill his dad's shoes, but dad was kind and left them by the door. Crosby Loggins has followed his father in the business but not in his tracks.

Recently Crosby Loggins was on the MTV show "Rock the Cradle" – a program that showcases the talents of the children of famous musicians.. Before accepting the invitation to participate is the program Crosby turned it down – not once but three times-- before finally accepting the invite. While Crosby has made a strong showing on "Rock the Cradle"; however, his performances do not even begin to show the talents that shine through on "We All Go Home". The results of "Rock the Cradle" showed Crosby that he made the right decision in accepting the invitation to appear on the show because Crosby Loggins went on the win it all, beating out Jess Blaze Snyder the son of Dee Snyder.

The social networking site My Space has become a see how many friends I can collect affair, but Crosby Loggins' friendslist includes some rather impressive names and one big supporter. Crosby Loggins list of friends include Wilco, James Taylor, the Flaming Lips, Canadian star Feist, Ben Harper, and his big supporter "Smokin'" Joe Bonomassa.

Talent may or may not be passed down through the DNA, but all the talent in the world means absolutely nothing if you don't know what to do with it. Crosby Loggins not only inherited the DNA, he definitely knows what to do with the talent as is evident on "We All Go Home".
