Eminem Assault

Gigwise reports: Eminem is wanted for questioning by police after it was alleged he assaulted a man in the bathroom of a strip-club in his native Detroit.

A man only identified as Miad J claims Eminem punched him in the face several times in the rest room of the Cheetah strip-joint on the city's 8 Mile road, made famous by the Eminem bio-pic of the same name.[see full story for more]- Click Here for the Full Story

Avril Marries

antiMusic reports: If you were holding out some small hope of hooking up with sk8r gurl Avril Lavigne, you're miniscule odds have just been reduced to zero. She married Deryck Whibley of the ponk boyband Sum 41, keeping it a Canadian affair. However, they were joined in holy matrimony not in their native country but California. 

The nuptials shouldn't come as a surprise to the fans of both pop singers as Whibley popped the question to Avril back in June 2005 in Venice as Avril was touring Europe. The blessed event took place outside at a private estate in the coastal city of Montecito, California. Racist MySpace Hackers

TMZ reports: Green Tea Monkeys, an indie ska/punk/reggae band from Germany, hoped to tap into MySpace's potential to achieve the success of other once no-name bands like Hawthorn Heights, Hollywood Undead and even Jack White's new baby The Raconteurs -- all were able to capitalize on the social networking site in their rise to prominence. But what they never thought they would have to do is apologize to their entire fan base for unauthorized racist bulletins post under the band's name. "For us as a little band, it's worse when our fans won't believe in us ... to have to show people that we're not talking sh*t and that they can still believe and trust in what we're saying" they say. 

Over the past couple of months, a rash of hacking has taken over MySpace, the most popular Web site since, well, the Web. The scale of the hacks has the MySpace community up in arms and is prompting people to ask when MySpace is going to step up. The hacks are occurring through the bulletin section of each individual's MySpace profile. The counterfeit bulletins causing the biggest uproar are those containing defamatory racial remarks that would make the grand wizard of the KKK blush. It appears that the three most common racist posts are: "I'm Gonna Kill Y'all Ni**as," "F*ck All Y'all Ni**as!," and "Get Out of America You F*ckin Ni**as!"[see full story for more]- Click Here for the Full Story

TuneLab reports: Evanescence bassist Will Boyd has announced his departure from the band. A replacement is expected to be announced in the coming weeks. Deicide Arrest

Blabbermouth reports: DEICIDE's concert at the Hustlers in Laredo, TX Friday night (July 14) was reportedly shut down by the police after four songs and DEICIDE guitarist Ralph Santolla was apparently arrested during the ensuing chaos. The following two separate accounts of last night's events were submitted by BLABBERMOUTH.NET readers who attended the show:

Report #1: "Some business went bad with Glen Benton [DEICIDE frontman] and the promoter, and there was major power/sound problems for DEICIDE... Needless to say, Glen voiced his unhappiness over the PA during their set... bottles flew, DEICIDE guitarist Ralph got arrested, chaos ensued, and about 12 police cars, a SWAT team, and other law enforcement people showed up and cleared the place out. Manson Rejects TV Show

Gigwise reports: Shock-rocker Marilyn Manson has turned down a reality TV series with his wife Dita Von Teese, despite their home-llife resembling that of The Osbournes.

antiMusic reports: It looks like the forthcoming Slipknot DVD will hit stores on Halloween. They'll face some competition from Devildriver who plans to issue a deluxe CD/DVD version of their latest CD 'The Fury of Our Maker's Hand' on the same day * Ill Nino have parted ways with Roadrunner Records * Who will play bass on the new Queens of the Stone Age CD? The PRP seem to think that Death From Above 1979's Jesse Keeler will be handling at least part of those duties. * "We'll be doing our Music as a Weapon run this fall, with added elements that you won't see on this summer run," Disturbed's David Draiman told MTV. No word on support acts just yet. * BW&BK is reporting that Venom's classic home video 'The 7th Date of Hell -Venom Live At The Hammersmith Odeon' will finally be released in DVD form courtesy of Sanctuary. - Click Here for the Full Story

KNAC reports: The Slayer-headlined Unholy Alliance Tour, also featuring Lamb Of God, Mastodon, Children Of Bodom and Thine Eyes Bleed, descended upon Vancouver, BC last night (July 13th) at General Motors Place.

COC Murder Plea

Jacko Damaged

Gigwise reports: A court has determined that Jacko was partially damaged. Oh wait, awarded him damages� Sorry, we'll let Gigwise fill you in: Michael Jackson has been awarded the thin end of a split verdict in his legal battle with former business associate Marc Schaffel.

The Los Angeles Superior Court jury awarded Schaffel $900,000 and Jackson $200,000 after two days of deliberations in the civil trial.

Kazaa Drop Suit

tinfoil.music reports: tinfoil.music partner site & friend, p2pnet.net was recently sued by Kazaa owner Sharman Networks and Kazaa ceo Nikki Hemming for libel. It was an astounding twist, as p2pnet supports Kazaa as well as the many other of the p2p networks in existance. Also unusual, the story p2pnet was sued for was quoted from AP, yet AP was not sued. Rhapsody Name Change

The band members consider this a great new start, reflecting the emboldened and increasingly grandiose direction that their music has taken.
