Sites and Sounds: Def Leppard and Monsters of Rock Cruises

(Kevin Wierzbicki) Music cruises have become a really big deal over the last few years and that burgeoning popularity means that there is now a musical high seas adventure awaiting fans of virtually every type of music. Leading music cruise producer On the Blue has two opportunities coming up early next year for fans who want to do some straight-up rockin' on the water: The inaugural Def Leppard "Hysteria on the High Seas" cruise and the ever-exciting sailing of the Monsters of Rock cruise. Here's the scoop on both!

Def Leppard fans will love this immersion that'll feature a full concert, a Def Leppard "Storytellers" performance and Q&A, and host Eddie Trunk's presentation of "Def Leppard: Behind the Music." There'll be a display of drummer Rick Allen's artwork, fans will be able to get their picture taken with the band and there'll be a chance to try the new Def Leppard craft beer. Additionally, Def Leppard guitarist Vivian Campbell will perform with all-star group Last in Line, a Dio tribute band that'll include Dio founding members Vinnie Appice, Jimmy Bain and Claude Schnell along with singer Andrew Freeman. Other acts performing include Kix, Frank Hannon (Tesla), Tom Keifer (Cinderella), Kip Winger (Winger), Richie Kotzen (Mr. Big) and Eric Martin (Mr. Big). Co-hosting with Trunk will be Luc Carl. Most artists will also participate in meet-and-greets, Q&A sessions and jam sessions.
