Quickies: KISS Concert Stopped By Tornado, Prince's Paisley Park Public Opening, Fear Factory, Exciter Reunion, more


A KISS and Dead Daisies concert in Toledo was briefly stopped on Wednesday night (August 24th) when a tornado passed over the Huntington Center, according to UCR. Gene Simmons tweeted "Believe it or not--tornado right over our heads at concert. People from street coming into hall. Show has been stopped! #Toledo".

Prince's famed Paisley Park estate and music studio will be open to the public for daily tours beginning on October 6th the trusties of the late star have announced. more.

The Bloodstock Open Air Festival have released pro-shot footage of Fear Factory's entire set from the event which took place earlier this month and say the band perform their "Demanufacture" album in its entirety. Check it out here.

The original lineup of Exciter will be reuniting for the first time since 1985 for this year's Calgary Metalfest on September 17th at Flames Central. Guitarist John Ricci had this to say, "We are really stoked to participate at the fest with such great bands that came out of Canada and went on to establish themselves as serious contenders in the metal market around the globe. The last time the original line-up played together was the summer of 1985, our last tour together across the USA. When we got back together in 2014, it was like we never broke up, it was like instant musical chemistry!"

Smoke Signals has released a new music video and single for "Epilogue" off their forthcoming full length ANXIETY which is set to release on September 12th. Guitarist, Britton Shrum had this to say, ""Epilogue" is a different type of song than we are normally used to writing. We really wanted to push the limits of the music we were already creating. This band will always be about pushing the limits of our creativity. "Epilogue" is a song about living life with depression, constantly second guessing things and then the effect that it can have on your life." Watch it here.
