GNR CD in Feb
antiMUSIC reports: If you were hoping
for a Guns N' Roses Christmas, there is still a remote chance that will
happen but we will more likely see the long awaited release of 'Chinese
Democracy' in February... if things go according to current plans.
antiMUSIC spoke with long-time Guns N'
Roses keyboardist Dizzy Reed this week to follow up on an interview he
did with Richmond.com last month, which was picked up by some internet
music news sites last week, where he said of the release of the album,
"They were originally shooting for November, but it may be February now."
A lot can change in a month so we asked
Dizzy what the plans look like now. He reiterated the November target and
February fallback. He told antiMUSIC that the November release still has
a remote possibility of happening, but the February release is more likely.
However, he said that the only definite answer he could give is that it
will "be out soon".
Dizzy seems confident in the final product.
He told us that he heard a few of the finished tracks recently and they
sound great. [see full story for more, including Dizzy solo dates]-

set for release on January 4, 2005 but now will hit stores on February
1st in North America and January 31st in the UK and Europe.
In a posting to their official website,
Judas Priest said the delay was caused by the record company requesting
more time to put promotional efforts in place. [see full story for more]-

A Perfect Murder Lose 3

five members have left the group.
Although Bouch doesn't say specificially
which members left the band he did give a hint when writing about which
positions they are looking to fill. It appears that Kevin Lemire (guitar),
Luc Verville (bass), and Frank Pellerin (vocals). [see full story for more]-

Hicks on Monday (Oct 18) set the jury trial for March 22, unless a settlement
is reached at a pretrial settlement conference he set for March 11.
Nugent, the self-styled "Motor City Madman,"
has sued Muskegon's summer festival and leading festival officials for
canceling Nugent's scheduled June 2003 performance after a controversy

Rockdirt reports: Franz Ferdinand guitarist
Nick McCarthy tells Radio 1 they've decided how to spend their Mercury

do," he said. "But a friend of ours has just set up a charity for Sudan,

Duran Duran Skip Collaborations
MTV reports: Duran Duran ultimately decided
not to do any collaborations on the album, as they had been considering,
with folks like Justin Timberlake and Gwen Stefani. "It would be a distraction,"
Taylor said. "We've never done that. And I love Gwen as a friend, but that
would be a different journey, and it would be all anyone focused on, instead

Matthew Sweet Tour
Pitchfork reports: Though expressing delight
at this news pegs me as an old-timer here at the Pitchfork Mansion, I nonetheless
express my delight at the prospect of a Matthew Sweet tour, in support
of the power-pop kingpin's two newest records, released simultaneously
Lambchop/Guns N' Roses/Nelly/Tom Waits/Bright Eyes-style. Living Things
was cut last year in the aftermath of Sweet's dalliance with Pete Droge
and Shawn Mullins in the Thorns, and features collaborations with Smile
second-banana Van Dyke Parks, while Kimi Ga Suki is actually the American
debut of a Japan-only 2003 disc. The dates cover the good bit of the country,
though he'll only be on the road for two weeks. Details:
11-03 Denver, CO - Bluebird Theatre
11-04 Omaha, NE - Sokol Auditorium
11-05 Minneapolis, MN - First Avenue

Tom Freund's Copper Moon
press release (conqueroo) reports: Tom
Freund, the critically hailed singer/songwriter who often accompanies himself
on standup bass as well as guitar and piano, has completed his third album
titled Copper Moon, set for release on January 25, 2005 on the indie Surf
Road Records.
Freund, who served as the discs principal
producer, believes that this work best represents his artistic vision:
I was trying to make an album which like Tupelo Honey was about capturing
the moment.
On Cooper Moon, Freund takes listeners
on a captivating noctural trip down Americanas lonesome highways and back
alleys from the Stonesian funky rocknroll of Mercury to the jazzy,
Tom Waits-meets-Joe Honry vibe of Comfortable In Your Arms, before concluding
with the sublime Jackson Browne-like ballad New Moon Of The 7th Sun.[see

trusts.
Marino and his Mahogany Rush lineup of
rhythm guitarist Mick Layne, bass guitarist Peter Dowse and drummer Josh
Trager recorded 'RealLIVE!' on September 8, 2001, at Club Soda in Montreal.
