Van Halen Split?

BW&BK reports: MelodicRock.com (melodicrock.com) report that VAN HALEN frontman SAMMY HAGAR was interviewed on St. Louis radio station KSHE-FM yesterday (April 25th) and spoke about a couple of interesting things.

Jacko Kidnap Plot

BBC reports: Michael Jackson's travel agent was told to book one-way tickets to Brazil for his accuser Gavin Arvizo and the boy's family, a California court has heard.

Testifying at the pop star's sex abuse trial, travel agent Cynthia Montgomery said she was told to make the booking by Mr Jackson's aide Marc Schaffel.

Prosecutors allege Mr Jackson and five aides, including Mr Schaffel, planned to kidnap and detain the family. [see full story for more]- Click Here for the Full Story

OutKast Musical

FMQB reports: OutKast's André 3000 has agreed to star in a modern-day musical film. Variety reports that Avenue Q writer Jeff Whitty will pen the script, and André will compose original music for the score. UMG Racketeering?

FMQB reports: Universal Music Group is facing accusations of racketeering, fraud, trade libel and breach of contract in a $100 million lawsuit files by two independent promoters, National Music Marketing and Majestic Promotions, claiming they were forced to submit false invoices to help Universal recoup promotional expenses, according to a Reuters report.[see full story for more]- Click Here for the Full Story

Pearl Jam Go North

Trent McMartin reports: Seattle band Pearl Jam has announced the dates for their upcoming Canadian tour set to kick off September in support of their as-yet-untitled album. According to Billboard, the tour will start off in Vancouver on September 2nd and end in St. John’s on September 24th. Gotti Trial Update

MSNBC reports: A hip-hop mogul charged in a racketeering case is seeking a separate trial from a notorious drug lord who is his co-defendant — and childhood friend.

In papers filed in federal court in Brooklyn, attorneys for Irv “Gotti” Lorenzo and his brother Christopher Lorenzo, also charged in the case, asked a judge to give them an immediate trial separate from Kenneth “Supreme” McGriff. [see full story for more]- Click Here for the Full Story

Megadeth in Israel

Blabbermouth reports: YNetNews.com is reporting that MEGADETH will play in Israel for the first time, marking the third top international performer to announce concert dates in Israel since Prime Minister Sharon and Palestinian Authority Chairman Mahmoud Abbas declared an end to four years of violence.

Vinnie Paul Continues Column

BW&BK reports: In the May 2005 issue of Revolver Magazine there is a statement from Revolver regarding (DAMAGEPLAN/PANTERA drummer ) Vinnie (Paul) and his advice column.

It states that Vinnie will indeed remain with the magazine and continue his advice column.

The statement goes on to say that there was a miscommunication between Vinnie and Revolver and that when SLIPKNOT drummer Joey Jordison learned that Vinnie still wanted to work with Revolver, he stepped down so Vinnie could continue with his advice column.
