T-Shirt
Crime |
Blabbermouth reports: According to a story
published in the October 18, 2005 edition of the Metro newspaper, a British
teenage heavy metal fan has been handed a community service order for wearing
an offensive t-shirt.
Adam Shepherd, 19, was reportedly convicted
under new anti-hate laws which ban people from displaying religiously insulting
signs.
The teenager was arrested after a woman
complained to police when she saw his shirt, which promotes extreme heavy
metal band CRADLE OF FILTH. [see full story for more]-

Hall KISS Off |
antiMusic reports: This week antiMusic's Morley
Seaver landed an interview close to his heart. As a lifelong member of
the KISS Army, Morley was one of many that was a bit PISS'd when the Crock
Hall snubbed KISS. Some members of the KISS Army decided that action was
needed so they set about organizing a protest at the Crock Hall of Fame.
While the official antiMusic take on the Crock Hall is that it is indeed
a Crock, it was interesting to hear why Paul Carpenter and Joe Apple decided
that it was important enough to protest KISS exclusion in what is pop music's
equivalent to a high school election (e.g. The Crock Hall induction process).
Morley spoke with Carpenter about the protest and of course KISS. Here
is an excerpt of the Morleyview where Carpenter explains why he feels KISS
should be inducted and one of the biggest problems he sees with whole Crock
Hall, click the full story to read it all.
antiMusic: What are the reasons why you
feel KISS should be in the Hall?
Carpenter: Kiss have 1 multi-platinum,
6 platinum, and 9 gold videos as well, but the answer goes beyond numbers.
Sometimes actions speak louder than statistics. The Hall of Fame's constant
snubbing of the fans is unacceptable. We will not sit back and accept what
is happening. We will be heard. The Hall states that it will not be influenced
by the fans, and that's their mistake and we will show them the error of
their ways. Kiss states in nearly every interview they do "If it were not
for the fans then we would not be here". I say to the Hall, "If it were
not for the fans the hall would not be there either." The bands and the
fans are what make up rock and roll not a group of individuals who are
biased and uneducated in their ways. They are self-appointed to their positions
and I don't remember telling anyone that they could speak for me on who
should be considered a legend in rock and roll. They are not the overriding
authority on rock and roll. We will change that, wait and see. [see full
