Green Carnation Fest?
SMN reports: GREEN CARNATION singer Kjetil Nordhus today commented on what he promises will be the band's biggest concert in terms of location and exclusivity:

"People will have to wait for a couple of weeks still to get the whole story, but we are creating a concert so spectacular that it will be of international interest. The reason why I'm commenting this today, is because people might need time to plan their summer, not least if Norway is going to be included in their plans. This is also a service from the band to our foreign fans, so they could have the chance to purchase tickets for the gig before it's sold out. There will be a national press conference in Norway on the location of the concert on June 13th[see full story for more]- Click Here for the Full Story

Nevermore Temp
PR reports: Seattle's Nevermore are disappointed to announce that guitarist Steve Smyth will be unable to perform with the band on their upcoming four European festival dates. Recently diagnosed with end stage kidney failure, the result of a congenital birth defect. Commenting from the Atlanta airport on their way to Italy, the band's vocalist Warrel Dane said, "We are saddened by Steve's escalating condition. He is an active part of this band and our thoughts stay with him. We will be performing as a four-piece for these shows and will have Chris Broderick join us for the rest of our European schedule."

Jag Panzer guitarist Chris Broderick performed with the band on their three-week American tour with In Flames and Evergrey. Broderick, who first performed with the band in 2003, said, "My heart goes out to Steve Smyth and I wish him all the best. It's a dreadful situation, but I'm glad I can help out at this time."[see full story for dates]- Click Here for the Full Story

Napalm Death Recording
PR reports: The British inventors of grindcore NAPALM DEATH are recording a new album entitled "Smear Campaign" as the follow-up to last year's highly acclaimed "The Code Is Red…Long Live The Code". Vocalist Barney Greenway comments on the working process: "After working our arses off on new stuff for the last couple of months, we kind of slipped into the studio when no one was looking. This thing is already sounding totally immense - even better than "Code...", from where I'm standing. It's fast and furious, as you'd expect, but we're also throwing a few curveballs in, in true NAPALM DEATH tradition. Can't wait for everyone to hear it. Take it easy peeps."

The band are currently recording at Foel Studios in Wales, England, where they also recorded their last album, and aim for a September release via Century Media Records.[see full story for more including tour dates]- Click Here for the Full Story
