Garth Brooks Gives Fan Guitar Off His Back

(Radio.com) Garth Brooks knows how to throw a retirement party. After 40 years on the job at the Valley View Casino Center, Bob Brown received a surprise send off from the superstar during his concert at the venue, KGTV reports.

Brooks had just finished performing "Friends in Low Places" when he told the crowd, "You're going to give your guts up when you find out who this guy is. Please welcome to the stage Mr. Bob Brown!"

"I was in shock," Brown told the station. "The legs felt like jelly. Garth Brooks, this man is talking to me in front of 13,000 people. It hits you like a ton of bricks."

Brooks took the guitar he'd been playing that evening off, signed it and presented it to Brown. But the best part of the experience for Brown was the respect Brooks showed him. Read more here.
