(hennemusic) Sammy Hagar is sharing tips on packing for a rock & roll road trip as he gears up for the January 24 premiere of his AXS TV series. In a new preview of Sammy Hagar's Rock & Roll Road Trip, the Red Rocker reveals the four essential items needed for the adventure.

The 6-episode series sees Hagar drive across the country to jam with some of music's biggest names, with the first two editions set to feature former Van Halen bassist Michael Anthony, Motley Crue drummer Tommy Lee, and Bob Weir and Mickey Hart of the Grateful Dead.

Other season one guests include Heart's Ann and Nancy Wilson, Alice Cooper and Alice In Chains guitarist Jerry Cantrell. Last month, Hagar and The Circle released their first live DVD, "At Your Service."

The project sees him teamed with Anthony, drummer Jason Bonham and guitarist Vic Johnson and performing tunes by Van Halen, Montrose, Led Zeppelin and solo tracks. Watch the preview here.
