Neil's Hot Air
Wenn reports: Rocker NEIL YOUNG is making a video for each track on his latest album LIVING WITH WAR. The video for AFTER THE GARDEN incorporates images from former US Vice President AL GORE's global-warming documentary AN INCONVENIENT TRUTH. The singer will offer the videos as free downloads in the coming weeks at his website NeilYoung.com. [Is it global warming or just a lot of hot air? And since politicians are responsible for 99.9% of hot air, should we turn to them for solutions? Pixies loudQUIETloud
PR reports: MVD and are pleased to announce the home viewing release of The Pixies - loudQUIETloud for worldwide distribution on DVD November 7, 2006.

loudQUIETloud is an intimate portrait of the band members and their difficult, tense and ultimately triumphant return as one of rock music's greatest bands. When college rock darlings the Pixies broke up in 1992 on the cusp of mainstream success, their fans were shocked and dismayed. When the Pixies reunited in 2004, those same fans and legions of new listeners were ecstatic and filled with high hopes. loudQUIETloud follows the rehearsals and the warm up shows for the full-fledged, sold out reunion tour. It also catalogs, in the cinema verite style of the Rolling Stones' "Gimme Shelter" and Bob Dylan's "Don't Look Back", the less glamorous side of the touring band lifestyle, getting as close to this enigmatic act as anyone is ever likely to get. Old wounds have not completely healed and the extreme pressure of the tour takes its toll on the band, but nevertheless, they deliver the goods onstage. loudQUIETloud captures the Pixies, their families and their fans in what seems to be a once in a lifetime chance at rock n roll redemption.[see full story for tracklist and trailer link]- Click Here for the Full Story

F**k the Law! Chaos Forever!
PR reports: Swedish metal pioneers DISSECTION have cancelled their two scheduled appearances in North America..

After continued delays via the US Immigration Services, vocalist and guitarist Jon Nödtveidt has been denied legal entry into the United States. The reason being his previously prison sentence from 1998. The band was supposed to play two stateside concerts, at the House of Blues in Los Angeles on September 1st and the BB King's in New York on September 6th. About the shows being cancelled, Nödtveidt states: "We knew from the beginning that there was a risk that I might be denied entry into the US because of my past but we (the band and the agencies involved) were prepared to take that risk. It's very unfortunate for everybody involved; the fans, the band and its representatives as well as the promoters. I have served my time and we were really looking forward to these final gigs. To our American fans: In spite of everything; see you in spirit! F**k the Law! Chaos Forever!"[see full story for more]- Click Here for the Full Story

Deadstar Assembly Vid
PR reports: Florida theatrical/industrial metallists Deadstar Assembly have recently shot a lead off video, "Killing Myself Again," from their just-released sophomore full-length, 'Unsaved.' Comprised of members Dearborn (vocals), the Dro (bass), Cygnus (drums), DreGGs (guitar) and new member sKuz (who replaces Mubo on keyboards), the video proves to be the group's most over-the-top yet, according to Dearborn - thanks to producer Rey 'Darkhak' Gutierrez.

"We showed up to the set with meal worms, giant African millipedes, Jager, a bag of blood we got from an animal clinic, Tasers, violet wands, ball gags, etc. We knew this wasn't a concept video, so we did things more for an aesthetic appeal. The color, the grain, the antics and props were all real and we just had fun and experimented with them. Rey had no idea what we were going to show up with, he thought it was just five guys in make-up with our instruments, next thing you know we are smashing his fluorescent lights and eating live worms and doing shots of Jager. It was by far the easiest and most exciting video the band has done to date." [see it at the full story link] - Click Here for the Full Story
