Classic Rock caught up with KISS frontman Paul Stanley to look back at the soundtrack of his life in the wake of the band's final show from their End Of The Road farewell tour.

Stanley covered many topics from the music he remembered hearing to his favorite signer, guitarist, songwriters, to his pick for the greatest album of all time. He also looked back at his own output, selecting "Rock and Roll All Nite" for anthem, which they created at the behest of their label president, and named what he considered the best and worst albums he has made. Ozzy Osbourne Underwent His 'Final Surgery' was a top 23 story of Sept 2023: Ozzy Osbourne says that his fourth neck surgery will be his last during the second episode of the recently relaunched The Osbournes" podcast. The Black Sabbath legend had previously undergone spinal surgery following a fall in his home in 2019, where he aggravated the injuries sustained in his 2003 quad bike accident.

He says during the episode, "Tomorrow I have my final surgery on my neck, which - it is gonna be the final surgery, because I can't do it anymore. Regardless of the way it ends up after tomorrow, it's it, I'm not doing it anymore. I can't." (continue)

The event marked the first time in 15 years that the song was presented in Los Angeles; it was last played at The Forum there on December 18, 2008. "That's part of what the song's about, really," the drummer told the UK's Breakfast Time presenter Frank Bough as the song hit UK#2 in 1984. Speaking about the video, keyboardist Nick Rhodes reveals, "I like the idea that if you can imagine something you can make it come to life, well at least in animated form... With the Danse Macabre video we did exactly that. We began by deciding who would be on the ultimate Halloween party guest list, then a selection of witches, mythical beasts, vampires and demons were rapidly developed, using the latest AI animation techniques. I was truly astonished when I first started to see the results. It was something that would have previously taken a team months in an animation studio, but it was all happening almost instantly in front of our eyes. (continue)

RIAA Reports All-Time First Half High Of $8.4 Billion For 2023 was a top 23 story of Sept 2023: (True Public Relations) The Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA) reports the industry has hit new revenue milestones after a decade of transformation, today releasing data for mid-year 2023 reflecting the ninth consecutive year of growth. Total revenues grew 9.3% at estimated retail value and marked an all-time first half high of $8.4 billion as paid subscriptions remained the strongest driver, accounting for 78% of streaming revenues.

RIAA Chairman & CEO Mitch Glazier observed, "this report describes a thriving, growing music ecosystem that continues to reach new heights and shape our culture. And it reflects the creative human genius and hard work of all the artists, songwriters, labels, publishers, and services who make the music happen and meet fans and audiences where they are in today's forward looking and innovative music community."
