Prince Didn't Want To Appear With The Kardashians On 'New Girl'
.
(Radio.com) Prince didn't make TV appearances often (or really ever), so when actress Zooey Deschanel got a call back in 2013 that Prince wanted to appear in her show New Girl she was "floored." Appearing on Conan Monday night (May 9), Deschanel explained, "One September day, three years ago maybe, I got an email from his manager saying that he liked watching the show and wanted to come on, which was surprising because I wouldn't have pegged him as a New Girl fan." Despite being flabbergasted, Deschanel and producers arranged for Prince to appear on the show under the premise that the main characters attended a party at his house. At the time, someone on the show arranged for other celebrities to appear at the party, but apparently there was one particular family Prince didn't want involved. "It turns out that someone from Prince's camp said, 'Who are the celebrities? I hope it's not a Kardashian,'" Deschanel told Conan. As a result, a frantic PA ran around the set the morning of Prince's arrival, grabbing scripts and call sheets to burn them in order to hide the fact that Khloe Kardashian and her mom Kris Jenner had indeed been asked to participate."
