Our UK Friends |
Our thoughts go out to our friends in the
UK after the senseless attacks by extremists in your country on Thursday.
It is a bit cliché to say but today we are all British and behind
you 100%.
MTV
Sorry for Live 8 |
Audio Aggression reports: MTV has apologized
for its eminently interrupted coverage of July 2nd's Live 8 concerts, which
was highly criticized for cutting away during Pink Floyd's performance,
as well as excessive commercial breaks. MTV EVP Van Toffler told the L.A.
Times that a re-edited version of the Live 8 broadcast is "not the craziest
idea." He added, "Knowing what I know now, I probably would have made the
decision to go commercial-free."- Click

Roth
To Replace Stern? |
Audio Aggression reports: Van Halen frontman
David Lee Roth is being rumored as Howard Stern's replacement for Infinity
Broadcasting's next radio star after "The King Of All Media" ends his run
on FM radio. The rumor was started by Chaunce Hayden of Steppin' Out Magazine.
Hayden had this to say in an online post:
"Howard Stern's successor has been found!
It's none other than '80s rocker David Lee Roth. Infinity Broadcasting
isn't commenting and Roth has been asked to keep mum until it's officially
announced. But an inside source at Infinity has confirmed the signing.

Cinderella
Vs Nirvana |
Blabbermouth reports: In a recent interview
with Newdealers.com, CINDERELLA drummer Fred Coury spoke about how his
band one of the biggest rock acts of the late '80s was seemingly sidelined
by the grunge explosion of the early '90s.
"I'll tell you about the Kurt Cobain [NIRVANA]
thing, he knew what he was doing," Coury said. "I mean, if you don't want
the fame, don't go on tour, don't go on MTV, and if you don't want the
money, there are plenty of kids out there with cancer that do need it.
I mean, to blow your brains out in your 10,000-square-foot mansion is ridiculous.
He should have been in a small, one-bedroom apartment and should have given
all his money to cancer research. So I don't buy any of it I don't buy
any of that crap. It's a total farce that they didn't want the fame."[see

God
Forbid Commit Treason |
Century media reports: GOD FORBID triumphantly
return with IV:Constitution Of Treason, their most dynamic and devastating
offering yet, which will undoubtedly solidify their position as one of
the genre's elite. The highly anticipated new offering was produced by
Jason Suecof (Trivium) at Audiohammer Studios and Eric Rachel (Atreyu,
Dillinger Escape Plan) at Trax East, who also handled mixing duties.
Doc Coyle (guitars, vocals) describes his
thoughts on their new material: "Musically, it's a more refined and complex
version of the traditional GOD FORBID sound, but offers several new twists
and turns to the fold. I really think everyone will be surprised when they
hear the growth in the vocals overall."
IV:Constitution Of Treason is due to be
released on Monday 19th September 2005

US
Masterplan |
Manic PR reports: Candlelight Records with
AFM Records confirm September 20 as the US release date for Aeronautics,
the second album from German-based metal/hard rock band Masteplan. It is
the first record via the two label's recently announced agreement for the
North American territory.
Released to critical acclaim throughout
Europe earlier this year, Aeronautics is a true gem. A timeless record
that will appeal to fans of traditional heavy metal (Dio, Whitesnake),
progressive rock/metal (Dream Theater, Symphony X) as well the more adventurous
fans of Opeth, Iced Earth and others, it rocks with the best of them, mastering
emotion with a keen musicianship that is second to none. [see full story

About Bruce Kulick: Bruce IS one
of the hardest working men in show business as his resume shows, from his
twelve year stint as the lead guitarist of KISS to touring with Meat Loaf
on the "Bat Out of Hell" tour, performing and recorded with Billy Squier
and Michael Bolton. After the KISS decided to kiss and make-up
with Ace and Peter, Bruce went on to form Union with former Motley Crue
vocalist John Corabi. Two studio and one live album followed to critical
acclaim including Metal Edge Magazine designating them best new band of
1999. In 2000 joined up with Grand Funk Railroad and has been touring
and recording with them ever since. All the while he has managed to put
out two solo CDs since 2001. Bruce is on the road this summer with
