Sting And Jimmy Fallon Sing Sultry Text Exchanges
.
(Radio.com) The candles were lit and the mood was set last Wednesday night (Sept. 28) as Sting and The Tonight Show host Jimmy Fallon tried out the new segment "First Textual Experience," in which each traded suggestive text exchanges between a guy and a girl in song form. During the sketch, a man texts his lady asking what she's doing and she replies "laying in bed." Sting sings the words in his trademark voice. When prompted by Fallon if she's doing anything else, Sting sings, "I'm eating cereal" not exactly the response Fallon was imagining. Later, Sting plays the part of a man who pretends he left his wallet in a girl's car, hoping to stop by her place. Fallon shuts him down quickly by asserting that there's no wallet. During the interview segment of the show, Sting shared the thought process behind his new album 57th and 9th, which came to fruition during his walk to work each day while recording in New York's Hell's Kitchen. "It's my civic right," Sting said of stroll to work every day. "I like to walk, it's a privilege." Watch "First Textual Experience" with Sting here.
