Crazy Messiah
sleazeroxx.com reports: In a recent interview former Shotgun messiah vocalist Zinny J. Zan had the following to say about his firing from that band.

"The situation in Shotgun was getting more strained and at the end it was Tim & Harry doing their stuff and Stixx and I doing ours, so the whole we against the world feeling was gone so to speak. I had hard feelings, yeah, cause they painted a picture of me being a crazy guy, out of my mind and never gave me credit for anything. Trying to make me a laugh, and that did hurt. Now I do not have any hard feelings towards them at all, it is in the past. Harry is doing his thing, Tim is doing his and I do mine and Stixx and I keep in touch every now and then. We meet, have a beer or Stixx joins Zan Clan and plays drums on "Care Bout Nothin", a Shotgun song that Zan Clan always play."[see full story for more]- Click Here for the Full Story

Journey Loss Voice
PR reports: Due to a chronic throat infection, Journey's lead singer, Steve Augeri, has been forced to leave the band's current nationwide tour with Def Leppard. Jeff Scott Soto, who has previously performed with Journey guitarist Neal Schon, will assume the band's lead singer duties starting with the July 7th show in Bristow, VA. Steve Augeri's condition will be closely monitored by his physician to determine when he may be able to rejoin the tour.

According to Journey, "Steve's been suffering with an acute throat condition since before we kicked off the tour with Def Leppard. Tricky Bizzniss
PR reports: Electro-rock duo TRICKY BIZZNISS prepares to release their debut self-titled album, releasing September 12, 2006 on EsNtion Records. The duo is none other than the former vocalist for the highly-acclaimed group The Crystal Method Trixie Reiss and 2-time Grammy nominee Ernie Lake.

Coming from two diverse backgrounds, Trixie Reiss and Ernie Lake had their first meeting on September 10th, 2001. Their goal was to collaborate their talents and make music that was new and exciting. The very next day was the day the world changed forever. Every artist, including Trixie and Ernie, had to re-think their ideals and how to deal with their music and audience. They put their project on hold and reconvened a while later to reignite their discussions, and ultimately TRICKY BIZZNISS was born. The name was fitting, as entering into a new venture during the difficult emotional era post-9/11 was, in itself, a tricky business move.[see full story for more]- Click Here for the Full Story

Ready for Redding?
antiMusic reports: We've been teasing you for months on antiMusic but the wait will be over next Tuesday when Redding's debut album finally hits stores! Who is Redding? A promising Midwest Indie Rock / Shoegaze band that blends together the best elements of Britpop and Brit-alt rock, think Coldplay meets Radiohead as expressed in the following portion of their bio.

Redding's four members are students at Greenville College, a small liberal arts school in town -- full-time students, aged 19 to 25. But Redding's not your garden-variety Midwest rock band. Devout anglophiles, these four young gentlemen have created a mature, melodic and atmospheric album that defies age and geography, venturing into the anthemic turf of Britpop (Coldplay, Travis) and the dark, intricate sensitivity of bands like Doves, Elbow, and Radiohead.

antiMusic has always been about diversity and quality and our editor Keavin Wiggins explains how we became involved with helping promote the Redding debut, "One of our biggest goals at antiMusic is to expose promising new artists to our readers and when I heard Redding the first time I knew right away that they were a band we would get behind. So when Rock Ridge asked if we would be interested in partnering with them to help launch Redding's debut album, I jumped at the opportunity to lend our support because not only does the music deserve as much exposure as possible but I know Rock Ridge is one of the few labels out there that is actually in the business for the music first and foremost." [If Indie Rock / Shoegaze is your thing click the exclusive previews on the right hand menu across the antiMusic network (just below the Redding banner) and pick up a copy of the album next Tuesday. Even if it's not you usual thing, check it out anyway!]- Click Here for the Full Story
